Target to unroll more new store layouts - will it be a hit or miss? {WalletPop}

Jun 2nd 2010 1:27PM I have worked at Target for 3 years now and find it to be a wonderfully supportive environment and am proud to call myself a team member. As for charity, while Target does not condone bell ringers or other solicitors outside the store it is VERY active in donating. United Way is the major charity Target funds giving 5% of its profits, it also donates a lot of other monies to a variety of worthy causes. Target encourages volunteerism with it's team members. I have participated in 4 school library rehabs, 2 Dr Seuss reading days, and an event at the Animal Welfare League. I don't know how other retail stores compare but I know some official rating list put us in the 5 for donations to charity.

'Axe Effect' Lawsuit in India a Hoax {Asylum}

Nov 3rd 2009 1:26AM

As a 26 year old woman I can say for SURE that the Axe Effect is VERY real. I'll admit the scents very in how good/bad they are and it of course depends on the person smelling it. I don't like Kilo but just the slightest whif of Pheonix has me sniffing around like a bloodhound on the hunt.

I work retail and often I'll smell it and start to get excited and then look up to realize it is some 50 year old man. It is a horrible let down and in my mind I think to myself how a law should be passed that requires ID to purchase Pheonix and you have to be between 18-30.

I am not connected to the AXE company or any other comapany. Just a woman giving her testimonial to the power of the Axe Effect.

Starbucks' new Via instant coffee: Don't believe the hype {Daily Finance}

Sep 30th 2009 4:58PM Target has had this product on the shelves for months. Don't ask me how this is possible but I work there and have rung up these packets. I have also seen the travel mugs outside of the instore starbucks for a while now too.
