My Grandson's Meltdowns Are Wearing Us Out! {ParentDish}

Jan 18th 2011 9:16AM Very true, Lorraine.
However, you know what shepards did to a sheep that kept getting out of line with the rest of the herd or kept wandering off where they were not supposed to be? They would break the sheep's legs. All four of them. Sometimes the only way a message will get across to a child is with a few swats on the butt. Nothing that will leave any lasting damage of course. Just enough pain to get the message across.

My Grandson's Meltdowns Are Wearing Us Out! {ParentDish}

Jan 18th 2011 9:06AM Here is my very simple parenting advice for someone with an out of control child: give them a spanking. After everything has calmed down, take them into another room privately, talk to them and make sure they know what they did wrong, and give them two or three smacks on the butt with something. Not your hand, a wooden spoon or somethig.

Is This the World's Most Foolproof Pick-Up Line? {Lemondrop}

Dec 16th 2010 2:45PM I have found that the following works very well.
"You know, we have actually met before. Remember the dream you had about the perfect guy? I was the guy standing to his right."

A Break With Tradition -- 'I Chose Not to Have My Dad Give Me Away' {Lemondrop}

May 4th 2010 11:59AM Thisis the problem with the world. People wanting their own life and things done their own way instead of listening to all the people who have been around the block a few times. All young people care about these days is getting what they want, when they want it.
But the real loser is the 'man' in this story. He probably didn't even ask his father-in-law for permission to marry his daughter. That is his own flesh and blood. Someone he would protect with his own life. And he had the gull to move in with her before being married and taint that man's beautiful precious little girl. The groom is the biggest loser in this story.

Faith Of Our Fathers? Survey Says Not So Much {ParentDish}

Feb 18th 2010 3:52PM Of course fewer people believe in religion now then before. Why? To answer that question, I give you a quote by Dick Cheney.
"It is easy to take liberty for granted when you have never had it taken from you."
We, Generation X-ers and 'millennials,'(which I am a part of) have never lived without anything. We have everything. I mean, who is gonna care about an all powerful god that feeds and clothes us when a McDonald's and an Old Navy are right down the street?
And now we are going to suffer for it. We think that we deserve whatever we want whenever we want it. So who cares about a bunch of old books that some long dead guys wrote?
Well...we should care. Those 'old books' are the only hope this world has. But that hope means nothing if no one is there to spread it. We are letting our one true hope be forgotten and we are proud of it.

Mall Cops coming to TV {AOL TV}

Nov 24th 2009 12:27PM I suggest you watch Cops. The orginal and best reality show on the air. Simple premise: Cameras riding along with police and the footage is shown on television. That is reality.
