Aug 15th 2010 1:22AM @Take The Tang More accurately pseudo design art class projects. Take an Industrial Design class and you will have to make stuff like this. Sometimes they turn out real thou8gh. A guy in my ID class back around 1990 made what was effectively a "corner shot" pistol. Aug 9th 2010 5:56AM @Michael Scrip Yeah but generally big mac workstations like this are used to do CGI or other graphics work. They need big big floating point GPUs The 5770 ain't it. I could see something CUDA like a pair of nvidia 460s being a good option, and still not requiring a whole other power supply, but if a single 5770 is the best you can buy they've hosed themselves out of half their market.

Jul 28th 2010 12:10AM you have to make car owners use their own cables. Copper is expensive. That cable is worth maybe 50 bucks in scrap to any crack head with a pair of bolt cutters.

Jul 27th 2010 11:40PM @statickeith I think I remember somewhere that Nissan go the idea that they should get together with Peugeot and let them do their styling with the idea that it must be good because it is French or something. There has been something deeply and fundamentally wrong with french automotive styling for fifty years or more. Crack smoking spider monkeys from Mars levels of wrong.

This has got us such wonderments as the Nissan Cube which is so fascinatingly ugly it actually makes the AMC Pacer look sleek. I personally believe it will become a collectors item for sheer novelty value much like such french classics as the 2cv or perhaps the ami 6.

Jul 20th 2010 4:18PM IIRC the Japanese have this thing about fantastically expensive watermelon grown inside forms to make them into weird shapes such a s hearts or cubes. They go for hundreds of dollars, god knows why. I can see someone stupid enough to buy one of those also being stupid enough to put it in one of these.
