Apr 26th 2011 5:06PM I was homeless, albeit for different reasons. I was once an eager administrative assistant and then I became ill and was no longer able to work. So I actually had to go into a shelter, but have since gotten an SRO through the homeless shelter system. It is depressing, limiting, and there are a lot of stupid rules, but it was my only option. I applaud this girl, amazing. If I'd been able I'd have been able to skip the whole shelter part altogether. Way to go BK!

Jun 2nd 2010 2:13PM She is so lucky to have such an understanding parent. I wish I'd had such a supportive mother. My mother was a teacher & I went to private school, but was miserable throughout and fought hard to maintain a C average. It was so miserable for me. I had so many problems b/t illness & ADD. But I got no help or accomodations for either, just a mother who didn't understand anything.

Apr 4th 2010 5:06PM What an interesting bit of fun. Everyone really does need to lighten up. It's not that serious. I don't think most people are taking it that serious, even the ones who found the results to be somewhat like them. It's just harmless fun. But did anyone notice the chart is slightly blurry? It makes it kinda hard to tell the clubs from the spades. I'm 3/25 is that clubs? I don't know, whatever...I even tried to google this chart thingie, but no luck. So now I'll go do somethig worthwhile, like read more silly AOL articles :-p

Mar 31st 2010 6:11PM I can't believe one of my comments got a low rating just because people disagreed with me. Is that the point of low ratings here? I thought rating down was just for people being rude, annoying, or posting ads about stuff that wasn't pertinent to the subject at hand.

I often give positive ratings for comments even if it's in opposition to what I think or feel, if it's intelligently written.

I thought commenting was just posting your opinion (politely) of course about the subject at hand. From now on, I will refrain from commenting on anything (here) if I disagree as it seems simply disagreeing is bad now. Don't worry I will never grace these hallowed comment spaces again.

Mar 31st 2010 5:04PM I completely forgot that The 4400 was a USA show. I didn't watch it on cable, but watched it online b/c I had no TV/cable at the time. It's not just a network TV pattern, it's everywhere: the cancelling of great SciFi shows. The 4400 was amazing and perhaps a too-ahead-of-its-time precursor to Heroes.

Isn't there some ending that's been done? In book form or something? I have to look into that. I've just been busy watching other stuff. Perhaps SciFi (other than The Dead Zone) doesn't do well on that network. It's following is more the crime drama crowd.

Mar 31st 2010 4:34PM Also Gary, I forgot to answer your question. No IFC and Sundance are not premium. I don't have premium channels at the moment, just basic digital cable. There are so many wonderful channels. Of course I'm a TV junkie so my opinion is suspect. ;-P
