Zach Roerig Explains 'Vampire Diaries' {Popeater}
Oct 26th 2009 4:51PM I can't believe that anyone who has read the books thinks this series is any good at all. They did turn a great series into 90210 meets vampires. The book didn't have all the references to sex, drugs, and underage drinking. This is supposed to be a show for young people. They should have a little more responsibility.
'Twilight' Stars Debut 'New Moon' Trailer {Popeater}

Kourtney K. Talks About the Decision to Have Baby {Popeater}
Aug 20th 2009 8:59AM And why is this news??? Isn't this something private and personal, between her and the father? Why would she want to tell the world of her plans to abort? Attention Wh*re much? When you have sex, there is no such thing as an unplanned pregnancy, you just didn't plan to wear protection. Another great role model, why is she famous again?

ADHD Drugs Linked to Kids' Deaths {ParentDish}
Jun 17th 2009 10:31AM Look up chlorella and other blue/green super foods. Yes, it's sea weed, but it helps feed the brain. They make my daughter calmer, and SHE says it's easier to focus. We get them in tasteless pill form.
ADHD Drugs Linked to Kids' Deaths {ParentDish}
Jun 17th 2009 3:17AM I am 31, I was "diagnosed" at 3 (1981) with ADHD. I can honestly say that 98% of children are misdiagnosed. I don't even know where to start. . . I was put on kiddiecrack, I mean ritalin, at 3 years old! I can only imagine the long term effects, I was on it until I was 13. It was a push by the school mostly, because they didn't know what to do with the genius that was failing everything but art and PE, and yes public schools get perks from the government the more kids they have with conditions like ADD on medication. Hence, idependant doctor's opionion always.
Now don't get me wrong, there are some rare cases that really are ADD/ADHD. I can tell you right away if your child doesn't know better than to put things in thier mouth like poison etc; they aren't ADD, they are retarded. Sorry, but it's true. Children that don't know better than to harm themselves have something completely different. We figet, and constantly move, a lot of us have a higher heart rate, medicated or not, but we are not stupid. A majority of children misdiagnosed have a food allergy, seriously. Some have little to no effects from having no sugar, but gluten is a big one. Get allergy testing.
There are a majority of children that are misdiagnosed that just need some discipline. No one wants to be "that parent" but again, it's true. Quit spoiling your children! I know from experience I have two young girls myself. My parents tried to tell me when my oldest was 3 that she was ADD. Her Pre-K teacher happened to be a special ed. teacher as well. She said my daughter had no problems at all, she was just active, like ALL 3 year olds. The children that you should fear for the most are the ones that sit there and don't do anything. A lot of parents and teachers don't want to put up with the children, they want them to all sit and listen and be cookie cutter kids. Get over it they are kids. Give them a lot of activities to keep them busy. Again there are some cases where the child does have a real problem, but I'm not talking to you.
There are many alternatives to treatment, medication should always be a last resort, because it leads to a long time drug use. Many ADD children go on to be medicated teenagers with manic depression, and other mental disorders. The ones that don't get on track grow into non-productive adults, still on medication or hooked on illegal drugs. Seriously elvaluate your situation before you give out the medication, because they can't even tell you what the long term effects are of what they are giving your childen, to turn them into managable,zombies.
