Do any of you who write the "pimping" letters have any education or sensitivity at all? Liberals are the ones who keep bringing her into the news, so afraid she will be as popular in 2012 as she was last year. Dave Letterman learned a hard lesson...I like Dave but he went way out of bounds with his tasteless joke about her daughter. I'm glad he wasn't fired but I hope he never does that to anyone again.

When mine were small we lived in a little town, owned quarter of a block, had no near neighbors and I did let them play in their diapers for a few minutes in our hot summers of the south. Usually, little sunsuits, though.

He might have become disenchanted with Sarah during the campaign for all I know, but he should appreciate her...she electrified everybody. The Dems despise her because they are so afraid of her charm and abilities. Letterman was drubbing her every night and it wasn't funny at all, so he finally quit. Yay for Sarah!

Mar 25th 2009 12:06PM I don't mind the prez using the teleprompters...we've had few who didn't use "helps". But do you remember that when hers went out, Sarah Palin delivered her speech flawlessly? And she wasn't even running for president. Also, she had much more experience in governing than Obama. Even so, I'm not saying she'd make a good president...I'm just saying, fair is fair, and she has been excoriated by scared, jealous politicos.

Mar 2nd 2009 11:13AM I'm older. I think the ugliest look in my lifetime was Dior's "New Look" in 1947. Even models looked better in anything else. Second hardest for the average person to look good in was the opposite, and still worn by many who shouldn't...the mini. "Mini" legs are needed, plus, practice in how to sit gracefully.
The main reason for fashion changes is to force people to spend money. Of course, it would be boring never to have new styles, so we go along with them.

Feb 26th 2009 6:39PM I agree that one can be comfortable and still look much better than Whoopi did, but we like her, she's comfortable with herself, so why should it bother anybody? She never pretended to be a fashion plate. As for the "ethnic" connection someone asked about, I suppose the represented animal and Whoopi both derive from Africa. Who knows? Who cares?
