North Carolina Paying Teenage Girls Not to Procreate {Lemondrop}

Jul 2nd 2009 2:08PM Why shouldn't the state pay girls who can keep their legs closed? They provide programs to pay, feed, clothe, and provide health care for children who are born to teenage (and other) mothers. I am 1 of 2 girls out of a group of 13 that graduated together that does not have a child, and the state doesn't hesitate to take my money to fund these programs. Teenagers who are able to maintain high moral values should be rewarded, not penalized. The term penalization does seem harsh, but once you get into your mid-20s and look back on how much you've paid in taxes vs your friend who has 3 kids (and gets free money)... harsh is an understatment
