Jun 11th 2011 12:05AM Bless the child who has his own...Knowledge gained from serious introspection and communication with God and what HE has said. We have been shamed and made fearful of questioning even those things that are so obviously wrong that we are missing out on the true blessings and will of God "in the name of Jesus." For instance why has no one questioned why we are in church instead of doing what Jesus did, learn about God's word and then go into the streets and highways et al and help and love others as he did. The times Jesus went into the church after he started his ministry he was angry with the Elders and throwing folks out. ANother obvious thing is that God said that David's seed would never be forgotten...why is it that historians can't seem to locate the "hebrews?" Read your Bible and learn your history and then pray and ask for discernment. Think folks...what civilization is ALWAYS mentioned in the Bible and has kings and queens that are still recognized and has the artifacts that strongly resemble those of the ark of the covenant? When you know who you really are and from whence and WHom you have come then and only then can you reach astronomical heights and properly serve God. He calls the intelligent, the humble, the true warriors who will go the extra mile to seek ye first.... All those who typically sit and wait aren't "waiting on the Lord" they are waiting for a handout and He's tired of it!!
Stop blaming the ministers, the church folk et al and take a long look at yourself. God is here for everyone who takes a step to find Him. That is our responsibility but we are so lazy we wish to blame others for our lack of actions. God is a merciful God but He may get angry with our indolence.

Funny anyone remember John Singleton? He did movies with Tyra Banks, Cub Gooding and Ice Cube and they too were good but Spike had beef with him too berating everyting he did. Face it Spike is truly a More "House" &((*&& that wants to always be put above anyone else and will do anything to harm others of color who may want to share in the American Dream. Everyone should have a shot at living their dreams and if they have talent let it shine without all the hater's jealousies being focused upon! Go Tyler....at least your movies depict what they are going to talk about unlike Spike lee's "Do the right thing" which reaffirmed to the world that even a black man thinks black men are shiftless, lazy beings that no matter how much you try to help them get ahead they'll turn against you just to remain "lazy" and that was "Do(ing) the right thing" ? Give me a serious break. He sold out by telling stuff to the world about the black community without offering any discourse for an intelligent being to offer another opinion/take and then got paid by White media to portray this. Much like every rapper is a gun totin' drug dealer from the ghetto....now all the kids are trying to be this and the police use this as a support for blowing away our kids....perception....not truth is what the order is for today unfortunately. But if Tyler has sold more or made more than Spike, maybe it was because after trying to support black work (Spike) we got tired of his crap and wanted something more representative of the entire populace not just an overexaggerated, "opinionated" view stuffed down out throats. He even had to make an idiot side kick for Malcolm X in that movie although the book does not have one...so the hypocrytical SPike was doing the step and fetch it thing long before accusing Perry.

Apr 1st 2011 9:57PM I used to really be into what Farrakhan said. Then I did some research. I read the autobiography of Malcolm X. Then I saw the million Man March and then I waited.....What happened to all that money they made during this march and why did everything just stop afterwards... there was no follow up. Now in my opinion ( and I know the adage about opinions), I am tired of everyone and every religious leader trying to say what God wants and doing NOTHING but talking!!! Whether it's selling propaganda witha bean pie or Chicken dinners with turn the other cheek 'cause if you don't belong to our church we cannot help you.....Let's all stop relying in these fake folks and each one try to better ourselves, guide our families and support one another. It seems as if all these people in power truly serve money as their GOD.. Heck, even Martin Luther King had a summer house near Martha's Vineyard ( by the Kennedys) while telling us "poor" folk to just turn the other cheek and wait for his "dream"...Come on when will we learn?? God calls EVERY man Woman and Child to step up to the plate, not just hold out a hand to receive one filled with goodies!!

Oct 28th 2010 11:54PM People overall need to stop being so defensive and say what they mean, mean what they say; and, when something is said be open-minded enough to do a reality check to see if there may be validity in the statement. I read the headliner then I saw Reynolds quote. This was vastly differing in content. When you look at how black media portrays itself through lyrics in music to the videos to the ballers with the gun charges et al, you really have to wonder if the Black women are not more prone to set education as a goal as a solid means to support their family verses the black male. This is not to say that every single black female is doing this nor is it saying that every single black male is pimpin or drug dealin', but it is to say that if WE stop acting stupid and supporting stupidity from our own by being an example (like the two cases in Chicago and N.Y. where all the black male high school students went to colleges) of what wonderful things we can accomplish by just a little effort on our part, then maybe by being humble we can see this is truly God's wake up call for His people to seek HIM first and do right so that we may truly claim our place in the sun. Instead we would rather push blame on others for stating what we ourselves support by buying and promoting this behavior. Until we change our way of thinking and stop being so defensive on matters which may have some merit, we will NEVER GET ANYWHERE!!!!!!!

You may wish to gain a clear understanding of the use of the word bigot and speaking truth. It is clear from your statement that you are aware of the incapacity to give real love. Your focus was more on fulfilling ego than giving or receiving love. Perhaps money spent of hair is the equivalent to what is spent in tanning booths, botox, and the like; however, this has nothing to do with the direct sitaution spoken about with Tiger and Elin. Like you people are invited to express their opinions whether they are sensible or lacking. Even Sarah Palin has been given a platform demonstrating that even fools are listened to by others even for entertainment purposes- the differences lie in the fact that who tends to follow are the like minded individuals.
It seems that today, if you have noticed, there has been a blending of races. White men are now coming into the open with fulfilling their desires of being with women of color, any color as long as there is some- and other ethnicities have been so brainwashed that only the strong-minded will find true love by knowing how to love themselves.

Let's stop bashing the stupidity of men, the lack of self-esteem and cattiness in women and just be..Peace.
