Vets Out of Work: Numbers are Up But Prospects are Good {Careers Articles}

Mar 21st 2010 8:26PM Start your own business? Are they joking? The government is shutting down opportunities for small businesses on a daily basis. The war against private ownership is huge. Along with the fact that we will have increased taxes because of these huge deficits, which means that there is very little capital available for small business creation. What a laugh.

Forget Popcorn; Executive Demands Healthy Treats at Movie Theaters {Popeater}

Mar 20th 2010 10:19AM One less reason to go out to a movie. I just love people who think they can dictate what people want.

Controversial 'Remember Me' Ending Dividing Critics and Audiences {Inside Movies Blog}

Mar 16th 2010 3:32AM Why would anyone expect more out of Hollywood than a "hey how do we end this turkey" ending? "I know, let's steal something from Rod Serling!" Fade to black.

World's Oldest Flying Car Up for Auction {Urlesque}

Mar 14th 2010 10:41PM Mike,
After I read your comment I took a closer look at darned if you aren't right. I think you may be mistaken about the designer having seen an airplane before, unless he was drunk at the time.

I then discovered a quote that makes the most sense...
"There is no firm proof whether this flying machine ever took off the ground"....That makes it an aviation themed car.

In Defense of Sean Penn {Politics Daily}

Mar 14th 2010 10:16AM These media people don't seem to understand that these people are play-actors. Tom Hanks never really went to the moon - but, in fairness, Sean Penn has probably been stoned out of his mind and arrested at the mentality of a 18 year old surfer dude. One last comment - Einstein, Pasteur, Marie Currie, Mozart, were geniuses or at least arguably geniuses. This guy is a doofus by comparison.

Could Plastic Surgery Kill Dramatic Performances? {Cinematical}

Mar 13th 2010 11:56PM I think it's a fitting irony that this cult of vanity eventually gets bit in their injected, puffed up lips. It's like Poe's "The Monkey's Paw" -- watch what you wish for. You may look young, but you may A) Lose your ability to do your job and B) Look young-ish, but ugly.

Vegas Blues: Mayor May Fire Workers, Then Rehire at Fewer Hours {Politics Daily}

Mar 11th 2010 3:07PM "The Unions are the only protection we have from the crazys running this government and most work places."........Sorry, but that is delusional. The UAW forced the auto industry to make concessions in the 70's and 80's that were unsustainable. Now, more money from GM and Chrysler goes to retirement and medical for people who don't work there anymore than goes to salaries of current workers. The government helped them do it. So, how does that match your "protection" scheme? Now, the businessess are dying because unions forced them to pay more than the jobs were worth. Here's the real problem - how come owners of businesses are prevented from colusion and conspiracy with other companies in their industry but the UAW can conspire with the Teamsters to shut down a car company?

Sarah Palin on Oprah -- the 15 Most 'Palin' Moments {Lemondrop}

Mar 9th 2010 12:20AM Did it every occur to you that repeatedly slamming someone you claim is ineffective, stupid and meaningless is logically contradictory? Do you find the media doing the same to John McCain? Nope. Guess why? Because they don't think John McCain is a threat. Hey, guess what kind of grades Obama got in college? Nobody knows. Why? He won't release any personal records. Why? Most people hide things that embarass them. So, GW Bush got better grades than John Kerry. Kerry was portrayed as smart and Bush as stupid. Kerry got three purple hearts, but refused to release his medical records. Why ? So, I'll bet that Obama got crap grades in college and it would destroy the "he's a genius" myth if the truth leaked out. Politicians don't hide things they are proud of or would benefit them publically. Gee, I got a Congressional Medal of Honor, but I'm not going to tell anyone. Gee, I got a 4.0 at Harvard, but I'm not going to tell the public. Gee, I created the internet...oops. I forgot that people DO exaggerate to make themselves look better.

Sarah Palin on Oprah -- the 15 Most 'Palin' Moments {Lemondrop}

Mar 9th 2010 12:08AM "I don't understand how she has always criticized the media and trash talked about how intrusive they are... yet now that she has a new book out, she's loving every minute she's on TV. What hypocrisy. "

So, let me get this straight. You see no difference between your local newspaper accusing you of, say, beating your kids, and an interview about your life, as told by you. Did you graduate from high school? (See how mean that sounded? That's what the media has done to Sarah Palin.) So, no hypocrisy, other than Oprah trashing this woman and then having her on the show to boost ratings. THAT is hypocrisy.

'SNL' Spoofs Obama, Reid and Pelosi: Health Care Is 'Angry Mob Unpopular' {Politics Daily}

Mar 8th 2010 12:45PM "Well, now we know profit-mongering republicans use as SNL as their resourse guide to poll the country."..........Unless you are a dope dealer, pimp or theif, the money you put in your pocket as a result of productive work is your profit. How is that a bad thing? So, when you ask for a raise you are profit-mongering? What you seem to be confused about is that capitalists can't force you to buy anything. Through free market forces, they consistently offer you better products for less of your hard-earned money. Liberal, Democrat,collectivists, however, wish to take more and more of "rich people" money - which means they won't be able to do R&D and come up with a better IPOD for dweebs like you. Look at the Soviet Union and see how the lefty-hopey-changey thing works over the long haul.
