Sep 27th 2009 2:14PM I got some Starbucks coffee for a present one time. I brewed it according to directions. I never bought any for myself thereafter. My taste buds will stick with Yuban. I do not buy coffee out at all, no dunkin donuts, no restaurants, no
Starbucks. Toooo expensive compared to home brewed. I don't buy wine out either. I don't drink wine, but have it for my guests. Anybody who buys wine in a restaruant is just throwing their money away. All I drink in restaruants is water. Ice tea is their biggest money-maker.

Sep 11th 2009 3:31PM A family came into a restaurant and were seated at a table right next to where I and another woman were seated. This was the first time I had gone out to a restaurant with this woman. The children next to us were boisterous and sometimes loud in their exhuberance. I nver even heard them until my companion got very upset about it. Called out to the parents to control their children which surprised the father who did nothing about it as the children were not acting bad, just happy and carefree. So she next called the waitress to get them moved but the waitress moved us to another table in another room. I was a bit disappointed as the children were obviously having fun and when children are having fun, so am I. Of course, I had 5 children of my own and this woman had had none. So our expectations were quite a bit different. What a fuss budget she was and obvioulsy \, the fates gave the right person 5 children and those other parents their 3 and withheld children from the fuss-budget. I have never seen the fuss-budget again. Who needs her.

Sep 2nd 2009 8:24PM I think they should be taught concurrrently. You can tell a lot from a person's handwriting and I have decided not to be close to people for whom their handwriting is unreadable. I wonder what they are hiding? I see adult people writing like children in grade school. For that matter, children in grade school may have better handwriting. Why would I want to be close to someone who needs adult supervision or someone to take care of them? But, like someone said above and is evident in two of my children, they only use 3 fingers on each hand to type. Unlike myself, at 77, who can type 100 words per minute, they are much slower BUT faster than I would have thought they could do. Another BUT. They have to keep looking at the keyboard which I do not have to do. So, the sooner the better for typing.

My father had a beautiful, cursive handwriting style that I admired and emulated but that I usually haven't seen even in my generation and rarely see in men of any generation. My children admired my handwriting and I think that helped all 5 of them to develop beautiful handwriting too. With my oldest grandchild, whose math homework I oversaw one day, I had to remind him that neatness counts. I couldn't even understand the NUMBERS he wrote. Is that a 4 or a 9? Is that a 3 or a 5 or a 2? Duh!

You believe the rumors that he is creating a socialist country. There ARE many socialist programs already in this country. Which would you like to give up first? How about clean water? Or Education? Or roads, bridges, tunnels, train stations/tracks, airports, libraries? I'm sure you'd like to pay out of your own pocket to fix the pot holes on your street? Get smart.

When they started a fast in protest, they were force fed instead. This was done by American men who were their jailers at the behest of those law male makers who wanted to keep women away from the polls and away from holding office. I suspect you are a woman and probably don't vote except for keeping women where "they have no business" being?

Aug 13th 2009 5:29PM So men leave their families all the time for whatever reason THEY deem legitimate. But women are NOT LEGITAMATELY allowed to make decisions for themselves as they must sacrifice themselves constantly for the good of humanity. Men NEVER think of humanity first as they suffer from testosterone poisoning which precludes that and we all obediently bow our heads in honor of their affliction. Their suffering takes many negative turns for society, namely starting wars, raping women, eating first in countries where the populace is starving, eliminating women from the discourse, denigrating women, abusing women and children, etc. etc. I'm sure you can think up a jillion ways that society suffers as a result of testosterone poisoning.

The only antidote is a matriarchal society like the one in northwest China (saw on TV news segment) where women own all the property, children only live with their mothers, sons support the family. There are no crimes, no rape and no wars. Every saturday night there is a circle in which the women decide with whom they will have sex with that night. Men are flocking to this community from all over china to be a part of it. I hope they are transformed and not that society.

Jul 21st 2009 9:44PM Religions, the world over, have some phrase in their ('holy'?) books that debases women and encourages men to treat them like doormats. Any woman who participates in religion is participating in her own oppression. It's time to stop doing that and time to start holding your head up high and occupyimg your place in the world of independence from male misogeny. Don't accept any more male generated abuse dictated by some mythological god. It's really only coming from woman-hating men. And don't spend any more time with an abusive intimate male. The most dangerous thing a woman can do is to get into an intimate relationship with a man.
