Sep 14th 2010 6:23AM They are calling parents of autistic kids lazy. They're calling parents who don't take loud, screaming children outside lazy. This article isn't about parents of autistic kids.
Furthermore: it is not selfish of the restaurant to attempt to ensure its profit. It is a business and the livlihood of the owners as well as the staff.
Bottom line is this: When a person of any age or any disability or lack thereof resorts to offensive behavior, that person needs to excuse him/herself (with assistance, if need be) until under control. Not to do so is rude, selfish and hurts the people trying to make a living when others walk out, or refuse to return based on this experience.

That said, I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I believe in a higher power....

Jordan wrote that he/she was not allowed to take any other tables, and only waited on this single table of 7 people for over an hour and a half for a measley $2.00 tip.
And that you brag about being a good tipper: It's a two way street. You are served, you tip. Even when the service is just okay, you must tip. The server pays taxes on the tips, regardless of whether or not he/she received one. The figure is based on a percentage of the total of all the server's checks for the evening. If your experience is negative, then get a manager. Unless the server is willfully being a bad server, there is no valid reason to stiff him/her. If management cannot provide good servers, then stick it to the restaurant and stop going there.
I am a restaurant owner. I know.

Apr 21st 2010 10:11AM I think Crystal, Casey and Lee are the leaders by far. Mike is good, but kind of boring. Siobhan has a beautiful voice, but she sings almost borderline opera sometimes and the high pitched near screaming tends to put me off. A few weeks ago, she was named as a front runner, and ever since then, the judges have been critical of her (and I've agreed with them every time). Siobhan never accepts the criticism, but defends herself every time. I wish she'd just say thank you for your suggestions and move on. She has such potential, but doesn't sing from her heart - she sings from what she thinks people want to hear. If she sang from her heart, she'd be home free.
