House Democrats Could See Double-Digit Seat Losses, Experts Say {Politics Daily}
Aug 31st 2009 1:47PM A new Declaration of Independence
What has happened to these United States that we the people no longer mean we the people? Has the citizens of these United State forgotten what when in 1775 in the house of the first continental congress a debate was on the floor for independence from the tyranny of the English Crown and the parliament of Britain. A tyranny that was taking over the state of Massachusetts herself. When John Adams himself on a storm filled night in Philadelphia stood before congress and spoke
“Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, measures that will affect the lives of millions born and unborn are now before us. We must expect a great expense of blood to obtain them, but we must always remember that a free constitution of civil government cannot be purchased at to dear a rate as there is nothing on this side of Jerusalem of greater importance to mankind. My worthy colleague from Pennsylvania had spoken with great ingenuity and elegance. He has given you a grim prognostication of our national future but where he foresees apocalypse I see hope. I see a new nation ready to take its place in the world not an Empire but a Republic and a Republic of laws not men. Gentlemen we are in the very midst of revolution. The most complete unexpected and remarkable of any in the history of the world. How few of any race had the opportunity of choosing a system of government for themselves and their children. I am not without apprehensions gentlemen but the end we have in sight is worth more than all the means. I believe sirs that the hour has come. My judgment approves this measure and my whole heart is in it. All that I have and that I am and all that I hope in this life I am now ready to stake upon it. While I live let me have a country, a free country.”
Let us emphasizing on the last phrase, “A FREE COUNTRY”. This Administration has lost that wording spoken so eloquently so many years ago. Free healthcare is not free and will never be free. This country will never be able to support it financially. This administration has already spent so much of not only our money but the money of generations that have not even been born yet. The word ‘INDEPENDENCE’ is no longer in the vocabulary on the hill in congress. For too long they have made the citizens more and more dependent on what the government will hand us. But when the free citizens of the United States speak out against what this congress is trying to push by us we are called AN ANGRY MOB. But when people spoke out against the Iraq War they were simply called protesters. Thomas Jefferson wrote “All men are created equal. “ I guess that saying only holds true if you are a member of congress. If our voice hasn’t been heard yet by citizens speaking out against what this administration has already done and what they are planning to do then there is no hope anymore for a free United States. Citizens I request upon you to keep speaking out and let your voices be heard for it is in your hand come the next elections that we not use weapons like our forefathers did in the year 1775 starting in Concord, but with our votes to rid ourselves of the politicians that want to keep us submitted by making us more dependent upon them. It is with great hope that these politicians see for themselves that if they truly believe in what this Country was founded on. That they will limit themselves to just governing the people to the peoples wishes and not for their own gains. For it is they themselves who will be on the unemployment line next.
