Dec 5th 2011 4:58PM Great story... Sometimes we in the West need to be reminded of the brothers and sisters in the East who (a) carried a lot of the ancient Tradition forward so that we could benefit from it and (b) have suffered dreadfully under persecution yet endured right down to the present age. One suspects that there are more such discoveries to be made. Hopefully, the political climate will change as well.
Jun 28th 2011 5:07PM They were not only gorgeous back then; they could be downright intimidating. RIP Ms Stewart.
Apr 4th 2011 2:18PM Is it my imagination, or does this young lady get prettier every time we see her? Seriously, it is good to know that this princess-to-be, unlike a couple of her predecessors, has a good head on her shoulders, a realistic perspective on the world, and her feet squarely on the ground. If there must be royalty, then let it be recruited from the ranks of solid citizens like Ms Middleton.
Mar 31st 2011 12:53PM I am thinking that the Newton and eMate were more classic American business failures than the Lisa. But it is hard to argue with his (Jobs) achievements as an innovator and visionary.
Feb 18th 2011 5:47PM Tails up to you, Bob Barker. At least these magnificent animals will spend part of their lives in peace and dignity. High praise is due to all who made this splendid act of humanity possible.
Feb 10th 2011 3:17PM On the one hand, those who note the inviolability of contracts are correct. On the other, only a dog likes a bone. Give me curvalicious any time. Keep Twiggy for the magazine covers. But I wonder what Rachel Hunter is up to...
Feb 9th 2011 5:16PM The State of California ought to take this piece of highly publicized white trash, throw it deep in some dungeon, and toss the key into San Francisco Bay. She will never be a responsible human being and I am getting sick and tired of hearing about her trying.
Jan 6th 2011 10:16AM If my aging memory serves, she also played Lt Fancy's wife on "NYPD Blue." She is a fine actress and I hope that (a) she gets some justice and (b) the Law & Order franchise never goes away.
Jan 5th 2011 4:57PM That's two pretty important entities that have cast doubt on Palmeiro's guilt. MLB itself called his story "compelling" (that he did not knowingly take 'roids) and now Mr Davis thinks he was telling the truth. ANd the timing described above is incorrect. When Raffy was apparently "using," his play was awful. I remember O's fans chanting "Get your money back." PS THe HOF is hypocritical anyhow. Look at how many votes McGwire got. That Raffy is more deserving than McGwire follows the same, apparently accepted, logic as Ruth is more deserving than Maris. PPS I would elect Raffy, McGwire and Maris. Asterisks and accusations aside, all belong in the Hall at least as much as some of the others "enshrined" there.
Dec 20th 2010 12:56PM Sorry. He still looks out to me before he even touches the ball.
