A victory over this group of sad sacks means absolutely NOTHING - and I say this as a resident Houstonian. Nebraska had a running QB win the Heisman, he went into the NFL and promptly vanished. At best, Tebow will be another Vincent Young - and that's not saying much at all.

Jun 10th 2010 4:56PM Compared to the Pac 10, the SEC is a weak sister in terms of potential TV revenue. Therefore, the reasons Texas will want to move to the Pac 10 are the same reasons that Texas A&M will want to do likewise. Moreover, the SEC's relative silence these past few weeks, in my perspective, bodes ill for that conference. My speculation: If the Big 10 wants to eventually meet a quota of 16 teams for mega status, and still has a couple of open slots, could it decide to lop off a couple of teams - say, Kentucky and Tennessee - from the SEC to fill the roster? Who knows?

Because of its reluctance to address this issue, it risks a total loss of its moral credibility. Remember, it wasn't the Watergate break-in which doomed the Nixon Administration, but rather the illegalities and immorality involved in the COVER-UP of that break-in.
