Feb 13th 2010 7:14AM I did the sport of luge for five years. When you come to what you know is the fastest track in the world and technically very difficult, you have to be prepared and have experience. I don't blame Kumaritashvilli, but I do blame the International Luge Federation and the IOC. They have to have stricter requirements in order to qualify for what they know is a tough race. For a race of this prestige, the track crew will do everything to insure it's as fast as possible. Unless you have experience and enough time on track, there will be accidents. It's tragic that a young man is gone today because he probably shouldn't have been there. He was ranked 44th in the world. In some sports that's an amazing feat. In luge, it's just not.

Sep 8th 2006 7:57AM I think it's the name, skinny. yes, we are a fat country but, we have far too many people with eating disorders. do we need baby clothes called skinny? to imply a baby should be or want to be skinny is so ridiculous. let a baby be normal. let's try teaching children normal not overweight or to obsess about weight and become anorexic.
