Secret Regrets -- If You Could Do One Thing Over, What Would It Be? {Lemondrop}
Sep 15th 2010 2:40AM Ok, I'm a nearly 50 year old man, married just shy of 20 years. My one BIG regret is that I didn't back out of the wedding when I still had the chance. The sweet girl I married died and the wicked bitch of the west came to live in her body. She has been mean and abusive most of that 20 years, and has had multiple affairs in the last 5 years. I would have divorced her long ago, but I try to keep things good for the kids. That's a mistake too. Now they're figuring it all out, learning who their mother really is and growing resentful of her. They even ask why we're still together. I used to have a good reason, but I don't anymore.

Neighbors from hell: 12 annoying stories from right next door {WalletPop}
Jun 29th 2010 7:23AM There's and elderly woman who lives next door to me, and her son comes over 3-4 times a year to mow the lawn. She has a six-foot chain link fence, around her yard. I had been culturing some trees for a few years, near the fence but clearly in my yard. One day, I came home from work to discover that my trees had all been hacked off at the height of the fence! The explanation: I thought I was doing you a favor!!!!!!! That's been a few years now, and some of the trees are back looking nice, but some were so bad I had to take them out.
What Your Vet Thinks About Your Pet's Name - And About You {Pawnation OLD}
May 17th 2010 9:51AM We also had a cat named "Six" this was because we already had 5 other animals, and until we could decide on his name we just called him 'number six' but that stuck, got shortened, and he responded to it, so it just became his name.
What Your Vet Thinks About Your Pet's Name - And About You {Pawnation OLD}
May 17th 2010 9:47AM We had a dog named 'Cassie' She was a mix from the SPCA, and had a birth defect that caused one leg to be unusable, so it was amputated, and instead of walking, she kind of hopped. So Cassie was short for Hopalong Cassidy.

Do I Have to Give Up My Daughter's Cute Nickname? {ParentDish}
Apr 4th 2010 9:29PM My son's name is Andrew, we decided to call him Drew. My daughter couldn't say Drew at the time so she called him Goo. I thought it was cute, so I started calling him Drew Goo, my daughter had the same problem, so he became Goo Goo, and it stuck. Over the years it has evolved, but it's still there, only at home, not in public.
When a rebate isn't a rebate -- it's a ripoff {WalletPop}
Sep 29th 2009 1:35PM This is designed as just another way for the companies to make more money off of the consumer. They're hoping that you first will either not bother to fill out the rebate form, or mail it, or include everything needed to get the 'rebate'. Then most people will spend the card for something, leave a balance, and forget about the balance. And, of course the expiration dates... I like the ideas above about using it online in full to pay a bill, or cashing in at your bank. But I use mine to the full value. I keep track of the balances, and when I make a final purchase with them, I may use 3 or 4 cards, and maybe $0.18 on one or $1.23 on another, but I use them all up. Never have a problem, except at the gas pumps.
Glenn Beck Boycott: Censorship or Good Citizenship? {Politics Daily}
Aug 19th 2009 6:50PM An old quote from Rush Limbaugh comes back: "When you shine the light of truth on frauds, you make enemies." A truism proven yet again in this situation. So let us now ask the question: If liberals are supposed to be so tolerant, then why do they act so intolerant?
Target to end Amazon deal {Daily Finance}
Aug 17th 2009 7:20AM My local Target (in South Jersey) is always cleaner, and the help seems to be much nicer and more customer oriented that the crews and any of the 3 local Walmarts. As for price comparison, many things are within pennies between stores, and total difference in shopping bills is not significant. Now my closest Walmart has just gone through a couple of months of massive rearranging and remodelling, and now it looks a lot like the Target across the street...
