And let's see how he feels to hear that he is a Hispanic male piggybacking and making a good living off of a style of music and movement that black people created. If any of you remember Latino men (60's, 70's and early 80's) had hairdos like Fonzie and wore flowered shirts, tiny leather and pleather jackets in dead winter, baggy pants, very pointy shoes (roach killers) and wore tube sox with dress shoes. Sep 21st 2009 2:37AM Most people are just talking what they don't know and have no facts of. I was in the music industry and I met both of them on several occasions and I know people that worked with and for them. We automatically see Whitney as the angel and Bobby as the villain because in sexist America women are never wrong and this is especially in divorce court. A friend of mines was Whitney's hair stylist and Whitney was always rude and inconsiderate to her. On most occasions she'd make the woman wait for countless hours to finish her hair while she procrastinated and took breaks to get high. And Bobby was not there. My friend would plead with Whitney because she was a single parent and had to get home to her child, but Whitney had a very bad attitude and felt that if she was paying such good money to have her hair done then she could wait because she is Whitney and a super star.

My sister worked at the Palace hotel in New York and told me about Whitney being strung out. And this was long before it became public knowledge. She said that Whitney used to be so high that she would be on her hands and knees looking for rocks of crack cocaine that she thought she'd dropped on the floor. And Whitney was very rude to the employees at the Palace hotel. On the other hand Bobby was very kind and respectful to everyone and gave some great tips.

I was a music producer many years ago. I was working on some tracks at "The House of Music" in West Orange, New Jersey. Whitney was working on a record there at the same time and Bobby was with her. Whitney was very standoffish and had a bad attitude and a huge ego. Bobby was nice to everyone. He spoke nicely to everyone. Bobby played pool with us in the lobby and acted like he was just one of the guys, He was even kind enough to treat everyone to pizza a few times and on another occasion he treated about 10 guys to take out food from the best and most expensive Italian restaurant in the area. And when Whitney was around it didn't appear that he was in control at all. She made it quite clear that she was. I know many more people that know or have had encounters with Bobby and each of them will say that he is very kind and down to earth, but it seems that trouble always follows him and he makes some really poor decision. I know of much more, but I'll end by saying that we can't totally blame one adult for the actions of another and unless you were there at any time, you are just believing the hype. So, lets stop judging and talking what we ourselves don't know.

I had personal experiences with the man and his wife. So I speak from my mouth and not from my rear end. What you'r talking is gossip... And as I said so many people are gossiping and holding themselves back from being all that they can be.

And to all the negative posters that are black...shame! We need to stop tearing down every celebrity, politician and others that have made it. No other race of people do this on such a large scale. Yet, know not of the real stories of their history and true greatness of their people. Yes, we were always so much more than slaves!We civilized the world and reverse psychology has fooled black into thinking that we are so much less.

Jun 21st 2009 10:45AM My God please allow whites and many of us blacks to learn to stop hating the achievements of others! For it is that type of attitude that holds many of us back from fulfilling our own goals and dreams.

I was one of the original pioneers of rap music. I was a popular DJ in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn. I met Wil Smith at several park jams back in the day and he had a personality and sense of humor that made his being a huge success inevitable. And the fact that he was a very popular rapper didn't hurt either. Wil used to come to these park jams and perform for free and just hang out like one of the boys. Everyone liked him because he clowned around so much and was so very down to earth.

And let us give Wil credit for not only being a good rapper, but for setting nothing but good examples. Wil never cursed, referred to women as "Bitches" or preach that gangster nonsense. All of his lyrics and recordings were about having a good time, loving and enjoying life and respecting and loving others. So, stop the madness. Some people have it and others don't. He always had it.

Despite his young age there were so many whites after him. They saw his potential and capitalized. Wil Smith's being light skinned had nothing to do with it. His success had a whole lot to do with his ability to crossover in music and life itself. He was the kind of young black man that suburban whites, upper class blacks and all people didn't mind their children watching on television or buying his music.

And stop hating on his Jada. She is very down to earth too and they are a perfect match in so many ways. She is very sweet and approachable which is a whole lot more than I can say about most celebrities. And let's also respect they way Wil and Jada have raised their children and the great relationship between them and Wil's ex-wife. No hating, no baby momma drama, no fussing, no fighting...Just getting along and being great parents in order for their children to have good lives and develop into great people. If you take a good look at their children you don't see the usual spoiled rich children that are destined to become drug users and money and power abusers. This is highly commendable, especially in today's society.

So Again, Stop Hating! I respect Wil Smith, Jada, his ex-wife and their children to the utmost. I saw where he emerged from and I'm very happy and proud of him. And you should be too.
