May 12th 2010 10:24PM So, all in all you had a good flight on AA. The gate agent at DFW seemed a bit hassled, but tghat's to be expected when time is a factor. If the baggage didn't fit in the sizer, it doesn't go. On a less than full flight, like the one from ATL, there is extra room in the overhead, but on a full flight (like you acknowledged from DFW to SFO) it needs to meet a size restriction if everyone is to get their carryon onboard. How would you feel if you were the last person to board and your bag was smaller that the sizer but there was no room left in the overhead because others with bigger bags (like yours) took up space. Frankly, if people keep complaining like this (e.g. "Well it was allowed on the previous flight") then airlines will be forced to be strict even when a flight is only 1/2 full. Don't complain when an exception is made for you one time and don't try to use that as an excuse.
