Mar 23rd 2011 4:31PM This really has nothing to do with hygiene of the non-allergic kids. It is to remove possible peanut residue from their hands and mouth. The concern is the peanut contaminants can be passed to either the allergic girl's hands or other objects that are in turn placed in the allergic girl's mouth. If the allergic girl washed HER hand and did not put other objects in HER mouth, SHE would be perfectly safe. Some of these peanut allergic parents would love to even remove peanut products from the homes of the other kids.
