The vacant lots and other 'charming ' areas mentioned are few and scattered; the city is building another casino and continues to draw visitors and business. Perhaps the author would have been better served sampling The Walk, or the eclectic nightlife of the Trop, or the elegance of the Borgata. Like any city, there are hotels, shops and restaurants to satisfy every taste and every pocketbook. I find AC much more pleasing than Reno, which seems lost in a time warp. Funny, he never mentioned the Jitneys either.

And who the hell is Doris Burke? We do not need another sideline babe with a deep voice. She looks like somebody's mom.

This wasnt some glorified Lakers-Celtics game. This was a bunch of thugs in costume slamming away at each other while trying to score baskets. Bunch of neanderthals in uniform. Where is the finesse, the motion, the ballet? Where are the skills? Working the ball inside then passing out to a perimeter shooter is silly; shoot the 2! The Celtics better get their game on or this series will be over quickly.

May 8th 2010 12:10AM How delightful. Bad enough commercials have taken over TV, even cable, which was supposed to be commercial-free, since we pay for it. You cant even watch your favorite program without some stupid promo ad or animated logo dancing across the screen. The BK King needs a serious beat-down; he's just plain scary. Geico retired the gekko then tries to inspire us with a non-animated stack of money. Real intelligent [not]. The cavemen arent funny because the writing for them sucks. Remember Demolition Man? In that society everybody listened to commercial jingles and thought they were hit music. It is long past time for the FCC referees to step in and put a stop to all this. Whatever happened to the Broadcasters Code of Ethics?
