Tim Bradley Wins 10-Round, Technical Decison Over Devon Alexander {Fanhouse Boxing Blog}
Jan 30th 2011 10:38AM "The bout was stopped at 10:59 of the 10th."
Haven't seen 15 min rounds since the early 1900's...amazing!! That fight must have been well over 2 hours before it was stopped.Lem Satterfield will be able to pass this down to his grandkids, grandkids.
Castaway Vince Young Wishes Jeff Fisher Would Have Trusted Him More {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jan 6th 2011 10:52AM "I feel like (Fisher) was continuing to treat me like I was a young man when I'd really grown up a whole lot...........I put in a lot of work and my stats and my winning, it showed I had grown."
Obviously he did grow. Into a bigger child or jerk than he had been before. Stats only tell part of a story. Many factors you never equate determine stats. Your attitude will determine you aptitude! Even if there was some truth to his "feelings" , he's in the wrong here. Because it's about the team...not Vince Young.
Buster Douglas Now Makes (Unintentionally Hilarious) Commercials {Fanhouse Backporch}
Jan 6th 2011 10:25AM Unintentionally hilarious? It's not even remotely humorous! I think Ryan Wilson should be demoted from Back Porch Editor to Out House Editor*!!

Andrew Gallo, Killer of Nick Adenhart, Two Others, Sentenced to 51 Years {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Dec 22nd 2010 6:15PM You might not like what Mike****** said but that doesn't mean it's not true! Criminal justice system un America is not as harsh on drunk drivers as they should be....before or after they kill someone. I do believe because it was a MLB pitcher among the victims, the defendant was given a heavier sentence than he otherwise would have. On the other hand, a MLB pitcher can kill someone drunk driving and get probation...go figure??
Seven Movies That Made Audiences Sick {Moviefone Blog}
Nov 7th 2010 1:12AM "i have never seen one saw movie. their goal is to gross the audience out. other than that the plot is pretty stupid."
That is just an ignorant comment; You've never seen it. You know nothing about the characters, story line, or plot. Although you may not like to watch them, there is a plot and story line that ties every single gross, bloody, ridiculously graphic, sphincter clenching scene together. Like it or not, it beats out the overall (series) plots of Jason, Freddie etc.
'I Like Big Bibles' -- The Worst Christian Rap Videos {Asylum}
Sep 8th 2010 9:55PM I doubt the author of this story is even Christian. I watched the titled video but not the others. I felt the message it conveys is on point. Not to the size actually but the use; reading our bibles. If your a Christian then you should be attracted to someone who shares your values and love of the Lord. Was it corny? Yes. That was the point. Tongue-in-cheek fun with a message that says "women who tote a well read, good size bible are attractive." Sounds like good fun w/positive message. It doesn't need to satisfy everyone's taste; nothing does. I'm sure the younger-open minded folks had a laugh. The older ones who actually remember the original had a bigger laugh. Harmless. If Steven Romano isn't a Christian he should have picked another topic...maybe it's his writing that proves Satan exist?

Jul 20th 2010 5:46PM I don't have a real problem with this story except the congressman remains nameless? That lends itself to a look of.......? Everyone making hateful and ridiculous comments are just trying to get a rise. Ignore the morons who post most of these comments. They're inmature, lonley and bored, lol.
LeBron James Fathead Going for $17.41 in Honor of Benedict Arnold {Fanhouse Backporch}
Jul 10th 2010 1:36PM Let's look at the ironies within this whole drama. ESPN & CNN along with the rest of the free world media in tow have clearly shown how low we all have come. However, we don't recognize it. How long has Lebron James be pursued and treated like more than he is? How much money has everyone else made off promoting "King James" as the greatest? Sports writers and commentators alike; know-it-alls and fortune tellers want you to buy into their way of thinking. They all wanted to have fun with this story. Every day-into-night on and on and on. The teams all wanted to "give" their fans something to cheer for.
Lebron "King" James became the monster they all should take pride in. THEY CREATED HIM!! He took over the game. Just not the game you expected, eh. Everyone thought they could have their way and contain him too. The media outlets were in a frenzy. I think maybe even the cooking channel got in on it. The stage was set but Mr. James changed the script. Did he make himself look somewhat like a villian? Sure to some. You can use many adjectives that all may be fitting. Egotistical, pompous, pretentious, melodramatic and many more. My favorite is actually CAVALIER, lol. However you would describe him remember this is only a reflection of our society (& media) we allow.
I for one changed the channel after the NBA Finals. I don't feel the need to slow down and see the car wreck. To see the drama, pain and misery. To be held captive to someone elses needs. The media thrived off this drama. Until they felt they were no longer in control. The circus had a new ringmaster. It would prove easier said than done to look away. However, instead of spending 15 min of an hour long show talking about how self-centered and selfish Mr. James is, you could be something other than the blood-lust maniac-like commentators. Everyone wanted this circus, so he provided it. How dare he steep to such a low level; our level!
These teams suits, networks, writers and commentators were not forced to jump through these ridiculous hoops. They agreed to it and promoted it.
Why because above all they believe it to be profitable, period. This has nothing to do with right or wrong, feelings or loyalty, good or evil. It's just business to everyone of them and profits matter more than anything. Otherwise ESPN would have done the right, loyal and good thing. They would have told Mr. James, "you must be out of your mind if you think we're going to entertain this monstrous display of unabrashed ridicule and narcissistic behavior. Pack your tent and go back to Larry King." Profitable it was.
We in our society, love to build up our own idols. We then line up at some point to be part of the tearing down of that same idol. We get the most joy out of this don't we? Year after year. Who's gonna be next? You decide.
When you are a fan who sees your team trade off an endearing, hard working, all-heart, team player (leaving fans stunned and saddended) that's business.
When you give players an assurance they matter to the organization then make an overnight deal for profit, that's business. When you sign a very young superstar, show the world your prize player and don't do the homework required to keep him "yours" by the time his contract ends, well that's business. If he didn't turn out to be so hot yet the fans still adored him, he would have been sent packing faster than a three-legged dog with no teeth because that's business.
Now is the time for everyone to come down off their high-horse and lose the holier-than-though attitude. This was a circus because we all allowed it to be. If you watched the drama you were part of it. Commentators make their living talking about what others do on and off the field of play. Promoting and building hype, drama and attention. They didn't like the fact that the "King" took everyone hostage for too long. The owners didn't like it. The fans didn't like it. The networks loved it. Most players around the league, behind the scenes are laughing their *sses off. Why? 'cuz it's biznuss!
I was never a real fan of Lebron James. Don't buy into all the hype. Nothing against him as a person. My interest in this story initially wasn't very high. I was interested. My interest in this story peaked when it was no longer about the story but about the ridicule. Everyone point fingers, make accusations and play up the drama. The tent was too big.
The Knicks have a terrible orginization that will remain that way until it has new owners. Then NJ simply stinks (no pun) and add Sean Carter (Jay Z) to the mix and oh well, lol. Chigago already has MJ legacy that can never be lived down. Miami has everyting (except real basketball fans-lighten up)
including 2 heavyweight players and a multimillion dollar tax encentive.
Business as usual.If he wins a title, he's a loser. If he fails, he's a multimillionare mocked for the next few years. Big deal because everyone is going to continue to tune in when the tent goes up again. That's the real sadness is all of this.
