This epithat appears on the gravestone of William Caldwell, a veteran of the Revolutionary War buried in the cemetery of Nazareth Presbyterian Church. The full passage reads as follows: "Remember me as you pass by/As you are now so once was I/As I am now so you must be/Prepare for death and follow me."

Jun 20th 2011 7:01PM I've visited many beautiful cemetaries in my travels. From the medieval tombs of London and Ireland to more modern family plots hidden and forgotten here in the states. As a kid we would sneak in at night and try to scare one another (DO NOT DO THIS! YOU CAN BE TICKETED, KICKED OUT, OR WORSE, ARRESTED) But those times are past. I was a tour guide for halloween and fall "Rose Hill Rambles" at Rose Hill in Macon, Ga, home of antebellem, civil war, and two members of the 1960-1970's band The Allman Brothers. I've also hosted tours of cemetaries in Savannah, St. Simon's Island, and Atlanta, ga. The ones in New England, New York, and Pa are fabulous, the above ground burials in New Orleans are also fascinating, and my new favorites are in my new home state of Iowa. In Iowa City, there is a monument called the "Black Angel" and there are two well hidden, forgotten cemetaries: one in an abandoned town (once the size of ottumwa, Iowa, founded by my wifes fathers families) and one i found by accident belonging to a family called Stoneking.

May 28th 2011 8:37PM My recently adopted German Shepard was on the Humane Society of Lucas Co. under the name "Buster". While that is a fine name (as well as my mom's collie when she was growing up), it just didn't feel right. I had a previous dog, also a german shepard, named Vlad (vlada monster and a host of other silly nick-names) that i adored. As it happens, the markings, colorings, and attitude of "Buster" was so much like Vlad that they could be twins, and I found myself calling buster Vlad by mistake, so, after giving it some thought,my wife and I decided that it was not only a tribute to a great dog, but also a compliment to the newly christened Vlad and the instant attachment he and I made. The original Vlad btw was named after Vlad Dracul (also known as Vlad Tsepes or Vlad the Impaler....I'm big on history, with a huge mental database of ancient hero/villians and arcane forms of torture. lol)

May 20th 2011 4:46PM There is a wonderful vegetarian burger made from portabella mushrooms. I can't remember the name but the taste and texture is wonderful. My kids couldn't tell that it wasn't real meat.

Think Twice: Teen Fined $2900 for Illegally Downloading a Movie {Just So You Know}

Apr 1st 2011 10:19PM I was downloading from a movie site two years ago that a friend told me was legal, so i thought it was no big deal. two days later, i awoke to find my internet wasn't working. since i work from a home-based office, this was a huge problem. after a call to my broadband provider i found that the interruption was in response to a subpeona from Warner Brothers Pictures. the my provider told me that this was their only warning, and any further violations would result in permanent termination of my service, confiscation of my computers and media storage devices, and fines for each un-licenced media: movies, programs, music, and pictures, and possible prison time or further actions after the studios and companies were notified. This was more than enough to stop me, however a family member wasn't so smart and is now facing fines totaling 37 million dollars and possibly 10 years in federal prison for copyright piracy. it really isn't worth it. if you want to see a new movie, just go out and buy a ticket. if you want to see one thats on dvd, join netflix, or order it on Amazon, they have both new and used and many are less than 5 bucks including shipping, way less than a piracy conviction.

Apr 1st 2011 12:28AM i can't say i'm familiar with alot of new bands, i began boycotting "pop" stations to avoid the rap/hip hop/r&b where the singer draws out every word into an ever extending scream/moan/howl... and then it got worse by eliminating instruments other than drumswhats next? and don't get me wrong, hard rock and metal have problems (looking at you metallica, manson, and radiohead) but at least they still use instruments, albeit some better than others.
