Feb 6th 2011 10:54AM Those agencies were generously "afforded" time and exposure with the NFL to give Mike speaking engagements, educational films, etc, etc. Make no mistake, they're happy with Mike. They got their word out further than they ever would have if Mike doesn't abuse those dogs. Animal lovers will never like Vick. Animal lovers don't beleive there is a forgiveness for abuse on defensless animals, but they will smile for the camera because it give them a larger voice and stronger message. So we will grin and bear it too.

Feb 6th 2011 10:50AM 2Broke....i'm sure ur getting a lot of flak on ur comment but Mike does, in fact, get the "good 'ol boy" wink and nod treatment. He's too valuable for the NFL to let go and you can see evidence in the fact that Roger Goddell took him from those who would have crucified Mike and handed him over to Tony Dungy for mentoring. I don't remember any single player in the history of the NFL ever being nationally recognized as a protege of the NFL, nor any ex-coach being nationally termed a mentor for a particular player.

Mike's done it. He's kept straight and narrow and the NFL highest authority made sure of it. That is a "good 'ol boy" wink at it's finest.
