I fully agree that if we had to name a "best ever", it would be Rod Laver. As you so correctly pointed out, he won TWO GRAND SLAMS, which Federer's never done, and he had REAL competition, UNLIKE Federer who pretty much got a free ride, till Nadal came along, and only had to deal with the Hewitts and the Roddicks [no offense, Andy].

Moreover, Laver, as you also pointed out, WASN'T ALLOWED TO COMPETE IN MANY GRAND SLAMS. Had he been allowed, Lord knows how many more he would have won.

As for all you Nadal haters, who lack OBJECTIVITY and only recognize "greatness" where you WANT TO,
HE'S BEATEN FEDERER 9 OUT OF 14 MATCHES, ON DIFFERENT SURFACES: CLAY, GRASS AND HARDCOURTS.
