Jan 12th 2011 2:15PM So, gambling that our children will be safe if they are left wandering out in the street....is now acceptable behavior? What if it were the reverse...let's say...a child wanders out into the street while his/her mom/dad/guardian is preoccupied with anything at all....and gets snatched up or hit by a car or some other horrid fate....would you all be saying "SHIT HAPPENS" or would it be more like "WHERE WERE THE PARENTS??", "WHY WEREN'T THEY WATCHING THEIR CHILD??" - I am willing to bet it would be an overwhelming majority of the latter...as a matter of fact, the family would more than likely be put under a state "protective services" microscope and talked about like they were lazy idiots if not out and out criminally charged. Talk about a hypocritic society...wow.

There is a fine line parents have to walk every day...if they choose to over protect their children...good for them. I can live easily with being called over-protective by the faceless masses. At least then if (God forbid) something horrid does happen I will know I have literally done everything I could to prevent it. What I cannot bear is the thought of being negligent in my duties and allowing an unnecessary and avoidable risk of danger into my children's lives (I have three by the way...one in her third year of college and extremely happy, one in middle school and as happy as a teenager can be, and one in elementary school and joyfully over-protected) just to gain the approval of any of you.

I got my daughter a pair of the boots made in Australia, she had already gotten some from a high end department store in the mall....the difference was unbelievable! The REAL Uggs were by FAR a better quality, hand made boot that felt like they had been custom made for her foot! The ones from the well known, high-end, department store..(that SAY "Ugg Australia) were flimsy, uncomfortable and left blisters on her feet!

Make sure when you mention REAL....you reference REAL.....not POPULAR...

Let's say this was a straight couple that wanted to put their kid into a school that was privately owned by homosexuals and that was the lifestyle they taught was right there. This stupid whining every single time someone doesn't get their way is becoming exceptionally trite. It's boring. It's not even original. There are other schools. The couple could put their child into any one of them. Get over yourselves and just go on with your life. We are beaten to death in every media source about becoming "tolerant"...well..where is the "tolerance" from the homosexual toward the Catholic school? Intelligence and logic would lend itself to NOT apply at a private school with established doctrine that went against your own personal beliefs! Stop throwing temper tantrums trying to get pity and attention and just Pick. Another. School. I wouldn't send my child to a school that I knew didn't support my lifestyle. I certainly wouldn't expect them to make an exception for him/her. Of course, I wouldn't be a drama queen and throw it all over the news either. Quit holding your breath threatening to turn blue if you don't get your way. It's idiotic. You can get your way...just not every where, every time. Grow up.

Mar 3rd 2010 6:00AM Just simply don't use IE...it's NEVER been a solid web browser. XP is a terrific platform for most uses. I still have it, plan on keeping it and simply will not get Vista or Vistalight...I mean Windows 7. I use Firefox and this article is total hype (read "crap") trying to scare people into rushing out and buying a new OS.

Jan 18th 2010 6:50AM Oh my god. Shut up whining. I am not a Vikings fan or a Cowboys fan, but I will say this...I watched the game and NO it wasn't "poor sportsmanship" ..it was FOOTBALL. Professional...Football. These guys don't get paid to be all warm and fuzzy and kinder and gentler (THANK GOODNESS)...they get paid to play the game to the end. The Cowboys would have gone for the TD score if they were in the same situation and if they didn't SHAME on em. If you can't deal with it...I guess you could start watching....ribbon dancing?

There are SEVERAL anti-virus programs out there that have BEEN free that are so much better than McAfee it's not even funny. Chalk this one up to "will only appeal to the people that have NO idea about computers...."

It is a stupid movie, with WEAK acting, a stupid, barely existent plot, terrible camera work and the worst, trite, pathetic dialog ever! If they spent $11,000 dollars to make it, they must have spent $10,999 of it on coffee and muffins for the crew. It is NOT scary, believable or even mildly entertaining. It's crap. Plain and simple. I would highly recommend "Scooby Doo" for those wanting a more significant & meaningful "scare" experience than this total waste of time "movie".

Not that I approve of it (and not that my approval is a big deal), but they will either drink or not drink no matter WHAT the design on the can...good God people... If they paint cars with the logos of college teams/NFL teams..is that going to increase speeding?? If it does, then we are as stupid as they are acting like we are....
