I never said that children grow up wanting to be strippers. but that doesn't mean that some people don't enjoy the job. I mean, can you tell me that every stripper in the world hates their job? not to mention that while I may not know the pope personally, he wasn't always a member of the clergy. and I certainly do understand the mind of an adolescent boy. hitler youth or not, I'm sure him and his friends found a way to get a hold of a dirty magazine at some point.
you seem to love the idea that your opinions are smarter than facts, and you ignore whatever anyone else says if it happens to disagree with you. you call them uneducated morons when your opinionated statements are questioned, not to mention when you cant even type my name right, use the right form of "there" or spell guarantee or masturbate correctly you're the one looking like the uneducated moron. some of us may have found illogical ways to defend it, but on the same side, you've found a completely baseless way to attack it. there are plenty of scientific, psychological, and sociological evaluations into pornography, masturbation, and sexual behavior along with plenty of statistics. and while the author is making quite an inductive leap to imply this causation, he does have 3 legitimate sources of information. as for your claim of the jessica lunsford case, I reiterate ed gein. he may have only killed two people that we know of, but he exhumed several corpses and made trophies of the body parts all around his house. and he never watched porn. in fact, he was scalded with hot water by his mother when he was a young boy because he was masturbating.
as for the claim that porn "is in no way shape or form 'helping to save lives" just go and ask the people within the porn industry. and I don't just mean the ones in front of the camera. not to mention, the porn industry is an absolutely huge economic provider. people buy porn. that money goes to companies who produce it, they pay their taxes and so do their paid employees. there is plenty of psychological, sociological, scientific and economic research out there that would essentially sink any argument that you can come up with to say that porn causes rape and is ruining lives.

Mar 26th 2010 7:32PM I agree that this is not a very good article. but the points it makes are valid, as corroborated by other posters on here like Shaman Sam. not to mention that when you look at the psychology of famous serial killers with sexual elements to their crimes, such as ted bundy or ed gein, you find that in either their childhood or adolescent life they were exposed to sexual behavior and nudity in a negative, traumatizing way or were punished for committing sexual acts such as masturbation.
now, Kim. are you seriously comparing the act of masturbating to porn to the act of forcing sexual contact on another person and to pedophilia? yes, there is child pornography floating around on the internet. and it absolutely shouldn't exist. but that is precisely why it is illegal to view or manufacture such things. but to say that porn and masturbation are just as bad as raping someone, child or adult, (let alone to say that porn causes people to commit rape) is absolutely pure bullshit that only a moron could create.
lastly, your claim that "porn, stripping and sex addiction are boring and for old people" is pure opinionated drivel. 1. sex addiction is a very real thing and you may very well know someone who suffers from it. 2. stripping appeals to all types. there are young and old people, men and women at strip clubs. regardless as to whether that establishment intentionally caters to either the male or female demographic. 3. everybody watches porn at one point or another. I guarantee you that the pope himself has seen porn, and enjoyed it, at least once in his life. unless you live in a colony made up purely of eunuchs, you know someone who has watched pornography and enjoyed it, if you yourself have not done so already.
