SmackDown: Should Body Piercings Be Allowed in School? {ParentDish}
Sep 15th 2010 11:50AM I allowed all 3 of my sons to get their lips and ears pierced in high school along with doing very creative things to their hair, as long as they kept their grades up. When my oldest son's grades slipped, his piercings came out. He didn't like that, so he studied hard enough to get them back up and he got to get his lip piercing back in before it closed up.
I figure, I let them do, what could be "un-done" when they realized as an adult, "wow that was stupid!!" as long as their grades were kept up.
They wanted to gage their ears, but that stuff had to wait until they were 18!!
Kids need to express themselves. My youngest brought back the Mohawk to his school last year. I think he looks much better with his hair combed down, but as long as he brings me home that great report card, his hair can stand straight up! He's still a kid, not looking for a job yet, not hurting anyone!

15 Things You Never Say to a Woman -- 1. That Time? {Asylum}
Jan 24th 2009 3:30AM As a 200 lb 40 yr old woman who thinks it's fun to pick out women for her husband to look at, this entire thing was a crock! I say ask away! It's only the fake "B" word women that have a problem with these questions! Oh.. before the name calling about my weight starts, I'm not proud to weigh that much and I didn't eat my way there, it's because of a brain tumor... I just don't care if you ask!
Wal-Mart fluttering in the wind {BloggingStocks}
Oct 31st 2006 12:59AM If we had a Super Walmart here, I would shop there. The low prices make it worth the huge crowds and rude employees that don't speak enough english to help you when you need it! If they could keep their shelves stocked and teach their employees how to say "excuse me" I would shop there more often! For now, I prefer Target.
What to avoid giving out for Halloween {Slashfood}
Oct 28th 2006 4:06AM My husband and I got married on Halloween 2 years ago. We arrived home that night (we didn't go on our honeymoon until the following week), earlier than expected, to trick or treaters, and we had no candy! I started giving out our left over wedding favors, including small containers of bubbles and each had some sort of lighted glow toys and noise makers. We ended up being one of the most popular house on the block! So if you don't want to give out candy, bubbles and glow toys are a big hit! Oh... and I think smarties are awesome!!!
