Is It Time to Stop Picking on Glenn Beck? {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 20th 2009 3:34PM Nobody is right 100% of the time and that goes for Glenn Beck. He's just another victim in the war against Fox News. I'm a Fox New fan and a Glenn Beck fan. Some people don't like it when their conscience talks.
Casting of Abigail Breslin as Helen Keller Angers Deaf, Blind Groups {PopEater}
Oct 29th 2009 2:27PM If there is an actress within the deaf/blind community whose skill and talent in her trade warrant being awarded the part of Helen Keller, I think it would be appropriate to choose that person. I would have no qualms about an actress such as Abigail Breslin playing the part, but I think is better to look at actresses whose life experiences are more parallel to Helen's.
Why the White House Shouldn't Play Chicken With Fox {Politics Daily}
Oct 21st 2009 3:04PM sodsquad you make absolutely no sense. You sound like the representative undereducated people who elected Obama to office in the first place. You think your sister has it bad now, just wait another year.
Why the White House Shouldn't Play Chicken With Fox {Politics Daily}
Oct 21st 2009 1:37PM So Fox news happens to be more conservative than all of the other major news broadcasting companies in the country. I stand up and salute those conservatives because as long as they are out there, I think there's hope for this country. The minute Fox shuts up, we'll all be in trouble. Americans need to wake up and see the direction they are being led and then get some backbone to resist. It's beyond me how people can follow the lead of someone as obviously anti-American as Obama.
Consumer Ally Q&A: New Hollister jeans fell apart after one wash, now what? {WalletPop}
Jul 9th 2009 1:29PM Typically, retail clothing is marked up 100% for sale - a $70 pair of jeans would then cost Hollister $35, but I'll bet they paid even less for them. Great customer service goes a long way with me, and I have seen both the best and the worst. I have to agree with Leah - I would not be happy with the resolution offered by Abercrombie and probably would tell my kids never to shop at Hollister again. Most of us work hard for our money, and a $70 pair of jeans that falls apart after one wash - well, imagine if the girl paid for them herself out of money saved from a minimum wage job. She should feel ripped off - after sales tax, that would mean she worked about 9 hours for one pair of jeans.
'My Sister's Keeper' Movie Ending - What Do You Think of the Change? {Moviefone Blog}
Jul 2nd 2009 12:12PM I thought the whole movie deviated so much from the story line of the book, it was almost as if the person who adapted it for the screenplay only read part of the book or never read it at all. The book ending was totally ironic, and that feeling was totally missing in the predictable ending of the movie. The movie also failed to build the important interworking of the relationships of the various characters, and left out the character of Anna's guardian ad litem completely! Based on the wonderful movie, The Notebook, I really thought this movie would be better.
President Obama Attacks FOX News {Politics Daily}
Jun 18th 2009 12:50PM I give Fox News two thumbs up! It's refreshing to turn on a news channel that's not literally licking Obama's shoes every time his name is mentioned. One person mentioned the reporting of REAL NEWS, but if they have ever been directly involved with the reporting of a news story or been the subject of a news story, they would know that there is no such thing as REAL NEWS. Nearly every news story is embellished and dramatized to sell news and keep the ratings up. Much of what is broadcast is designed to instill strong emotional response - fear, outrage, anger and very rarely, joy and/or happiness. So, regardless of whether the news station or newspaper is owned by Murdock or anyone else, remember, there's always a grain of truth in the news, but a lot of it is just packaging. Aside from all that, I think everyone needs to remember that we do have freedom of speech, and as long as there are two people in the world, there are going to be at least two different opinions.
Makers of Jack Daniels Doing Just Fine in the Downturn {Asylum}
Dec 9th 2008 10:35PM Yes User, we as individual Americans, personally plunged the world into a recession. We did it with malice aforethought, just so you and all of your fellow whatever you ares will suffer endlessly. Now, we must all find cheap booze so we can all get drunk and supress our feelings o guilt. NOT!
Automobile brands set to disappear forever? {BloggingStocks}
Dec 5th 2008 11:53PM The facts are folks, the WHOLE U.S. economy is in trouble, not just parts of it. Sure, we'd like to see the Big 3 sink just because they used poor financial strategy and we haven't seen much in the way of results from the recent Wall Street bailout. The sad part is the thousands of people who will be without jobs - creating more problems for the economy. Don't count on Obama fixing the economy either. In the long run, he's just going to be another part of the problem. My advice is buckle up cause we're in for a rough ride.
Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard Survives Scorpion Attack {Spinner}
Nov 4th 2008 2:49PM Scorpions sting, they don't bit. Scorpion stings are very painful - even the small ones. He'll survive, I did.
