Dec 27th 2009 12:26PM gee with all you knowledgeable tough guys, i admire you, i wonder how the valet guys can stay in business. for the dummies i would hope that the licensing unit has someb -rovision to hqndle the process so we milktoast guys don't take it to deep.
to my way of thinking that might be a good operation of government.

Sep 3rd 2009 11:57AM I hope that someone listens but that is usually not the case. I would like the responsible bank officials and politicians to do something proactive to help- a bad situation.
With the use of electronic transfer, you know the bill pay the funds are transmitted by electronic means. It does not go bank to bank but rather through the IPay intermediary. There is a different time banks take to process the payment. I would submit rather than have it go round and round with the customer being told the payment is late the banks adapt the philosophy of counting receipt at the time the notation of the funds are received by the I pay unit. I do recall that the original service guaranteed the service as unostentatious. This is merely a simple way of having the system fair and working for all our benefits.

Aug 14th 2009 6:53PM .The first thing that must occur is that the customer is conscious and can compare pricing.
Recently canned tuna fish just about tripled in price. The range of prices on ice cream goes fro under $ 2. To $ 6 on the same brand. English muffing rang from $ 1. To $ 4.50 for the very same brand and size.
The stores love it and their prices have added fuel to the fire as they say. It will be a repeat of the drug price fiasco.

Aug 12th 2009 8:52AM I do not understand how canned tuna fish can be marketed in light of its three-fold price increase. I note that it carries a warning as to the fish with caution to pregnant women and children.
These days many of the 6 oz cans have been reduced in size by an ounce and the cost has in some ways tripled in cost per ounce... I do not think many people noticed.

For another thing, I have noticed many consumerists plugging store brands as a way of saving money. Funny thing is that many sell for a greater cost than do the national brands. I would think that the store brand which costs much less to produce, no advertising would or should be 40 percent less in cost. Funny thing is sometimes they taste better.

Jul 31st 2009 2:07AM It is sad to hear of that experience. I had thought better of Barnes & Noble. In a small town where I live, they stopped offering a view of the regional newspapers so I buy my coffee elsewhere. Many people come and read the books or magazines. It is sad that their attitude prevails. It did allow me to find a bookseller who I can order from on the computer. I save a few bucks and it is easier...
