Las Vegas Is America's Most Stressed-Out City {Asylum}

Aug 20th 2010 12:04PM I am also from back East, Massachusetts is where I grew up. I moved to Las Vegas in 1987 and would not think of ever going back. Once the "Vegas strip " is played out, there are many beautiful things to do here and within a five hour drive. Utah (Zion, Bryce and St. George), Arizona (Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona and Phoenix), California (Southern Beaches, Theme Parks, Napa Valley, The Pacific Coast Highway, San Fransisco and the Redwood Forest)In our own backyard there is Redrock, Mt. Charleston, Death Valley, Hoover Dam, the Lakes and Colorodo River in several states. There is Fishing, Hiking, Camping and Skiing. All kinds of Parks around town to have family get togethers. One thing here is you can almost always count on the weather year round after making plans and almost no pesky bugs to ruin the fun. Life is what you make of it no matter where you live. All those who hate it here , please leave and that will make it easier on those of us who want to be here.

Redbox Heads Online, Challenges Netflix to a Brawl {Cinematical}

Jul 21st 2010 9:08AM RedBox on the whole is a great service but in some not so kept up areas service techs do not fix the problems with the box. I know a lot has to do with the heat in Las Vegas but the company needs to prepare and have work arounds. It is very frustrating to have done research online only to go to a Redbox and the cursor does not work or the swiper will not accept your card. They use a flimsy sunscreen that you have to hold up when trying to rent. It's a computer it needs more fans and maybe a keyboard for back up when the touch screen does not work. I rent everyday and it is getting to be a chore to go to three different Redboxes to find all the movies I am looking for. I have run into some of the techs to let them know the problems on the route and called corp. so they can flag for fixing. we will see what they come up with. Out of about 200 movies I only had 2 unplayable discs and they took care of that right away. All in all I like the service but there is room for improvement especially since we are starting to get Blockbuster Blueboxes around town.
