U-Haul accused of attempting price-fixing with Budget {WalletPop}

Jun 10th 2010 3:25AM I reserved a U-Haul truck 6 weeks in advance. I flew 1200 miles from Portland Oregon to So. Calif. only to be told that my reserved truck was in another city and I was required to drive 75 miles round trip to pick up my rental. Did they expect me to rent a car to do this? I was forced to rent a truck from a different carrier (Ryder) which charged me $1500.00 more which included a $500.00 fee to bring in a truck that day.
Loading did not begin until 1 pm and loading was not finished until 7 pm. I was threaten to be charged a fee for being in the rental unit area after 6. The U-haul company generously waved the $50.00 reservation cancelation fee. When I mentioned reimbursement for the $500.00 extra I had to pay for them not having my rental available I was told by U-Haul to "Seek Remedy Thru the Legal System". The ninth circuit court has since ordered U-Haul to cease and dissist using the words "CONFIRMED RESERVATION" as there is no attempt to supply equipment requested and no attempt is made to bring equip. in to the reservation site.
DO NOT EVER RENT FROM U-HAUL

Dec 12th 2009 1:34PM I was amused to hear that AIG employees were threating to quit over reduced pay. I say let them quit. Let's see them apply for a job with a resume that says they were part of the largest financial collapse in history and demand higher pay from companies overseas. I think they would be laughed out of the interview!!

Dec 9th 2009 1:20AM I sold my house in California and paid off all my credit cards in full. When I called to cancel my card I was told "Oh You Can't Do That, you have to give us 30 days notice". I refused, 2 years later I was contacted by a collection agency. After sending proof the bill was paid I was repeatedly contacted demanding payment. According to the credit card company, they have the right to continue to charge interest in a zero balance! I told them, PLEASE take me to court and sue me. My attorney says that I can't sue the credit card company because I haven't incurred any damages yet. I never heard from them again however it is listed on my credit report as a unpaid debt.

Dec 9th 2009 12:18AM Am I the only one that remembers Ross Perot and the voodoo stick representing voodoo economics? Am I the only one that remembers "That Great Sucking Sound" the sound of jobs leaving America? Years ago when I quit my job the janitor was making $11.95 per hour. The congress has sold us out thru trade and treaty policies (or lack thereof). Refusal to control illegal immigration, which only drives down wages and demand for social services up. The congress has sold out the American worker, sold out the American taxpayer, while they and their billionaire butt buddies continue to loot the US Treasury. Time to do an audit and see if there is any gold left in Fort Knox!!

Capital One warrants help chip away TARP obligation {BloggingStocks}

Dec 7th 2009 2:29AM The way this new scam works is that the new investors get to buy stock at some future date at a reduced price with what amounts to a stock option. This than dilutes your existing shares making them worth less. The bank is not repaying the TARP funds, you the shareholder is paying for it thru depreciated stock value.

Its was congress that stripped the FCC of its powers
Its was congress that stripped the FDA of its authority
Its was congress that has sold out the American worker, sold out the American taxpayer, sold out the American people and sold out our future generations to indebted servatude.

The glass is half-full: Why the U.S. economy will strengthen in 2010 {Daily Finance}

Nov 30th 2009 12:29AM No Recovery In Sight-- We have a federal government that refuses to control border security or illegal immigration because it provides abundant cheap labor to corporate America. Declining wages continue. The outsourcing of jobs. The war on the middle class thru unfair Int'l trade and treaties, looting of pension plans, unaffordable housing (both sales and rentals). Unaffordable health care, the budget deficit, the trade deficit, the national debt. Disparity of taxes paid between rich and poor, high food and fuel cost which are not counted in inflation statistics. Falling value of the US Dollar. Big business lobbist AKA Legalized Bribery of elected officials, corporate welfare, abusive use of imminant domain. Revolving door criminal justice system. Local governments are bankrupt and some engaging in predatory traffic and law enforcement akin to extortion. Abusive consumer pratices by corporate America. Banks, big businesses and corporate America are receiving the Best Government Money Can Buy. Congress and their billionaire cronnies are looting the US Treasury. Fait currency and zero interest rates for the political connected. We have an eletist, ologarcy, ruling class airostocacy that continues to sell out the American worker, The American taxpayer and sells out our future generations into indebted servatude. This is not the end of the recession. Nor is it the begaining of the end. What we have seen is the end to the begaining. Time to audit Fort Know to see if there is any gold left.
