Women Benefit More From Coffee Breaks {AOL Jobs}

Feb 6th 2011 6:24PM I find coffee breaks to be a great way to duck work responsibilities. Time away from the drudgery of doing your job can be much more productively spent in flirting, chit-chatting and networking all of which it is better to be paid for rather than using up valuable leisure time to pursue. After all I have things to do besides just showing up for work and making others look good.

Sick days are a closely related benefit that equate to paid time off. Why should I go without a days pay because I would rather go skiing, shopping or to the beach? I can hardly wait until this April when I will accrue another week of sick leave. I'll probably call in sick just to celebrate.

Extended "business" lunches are a further way to maximize ones time away from the office. I only wish I had a company account towards that end.

Bride Sues Groom for Leaving Her at the Altar -- To the Tune of $95K {Lemondrop}

Dec 16th 2010 3:02PM Hopefully he takes some comfort in knowing that at least he didn't marry her. To sue a former fiance for not going through with the wedding reduces the whole relationship to a level which is strictly a measure of what she could have gained or lost. Unless he was intentionally misleading her or maliciously toying with her he was simply refusing to complicate what he perceived to be a mistake. An honorable and basic human decision. To reduce even our admissions of error to some chargeable offense which can be punished with terms of monetary compensation is to reduce human interactions and especially love to a selfish and predatory level. It could only excite the passions of an accountant, or perhaps more so, what else? but a lawyer such as herself.

Sep 21st 2008 11:27PM She looks horrid, and while I'm not attempting to blame her or to cast it as worse than it is, neither do I feel some strange obligation to pretend she looks great or worse yet sexy.
