NBC says no to iTunes rentals at 99 cents {TUAW.com}

Sep 24th 2010 11:21AM I guess broadcast companies are worried iTunes rentals will cannibalize their DVD sales. I personally don't see that happening.

I am happy to wait until Netflix has a TV show available for rental. Paying $35 for a season of 30 Rock is a waste of my money. Besides I can watch episodes on their own web site for free.

What I see going on is NBC is turning down an alternate and profitable income source. Their loss.

Doesn't matter to me one way or another how NBC decides to treat iTunes rentals.

Sep 24th 2010 9:26AM I love my Sonos stuff. I have three rooms setup with Sonos equipment.

I haven't tried the AirPlay stuff, but I tried AirTunes and after seeing the new Apple TV, I don't have much confidence in the quality of Apple's in home entertainment systems.

I'll stick with my Sonos equipment.

Lost iPhone investigation almost done {TUAW.com}

Sep 22nd 2010 9:48AM I can think of at least 2 felonies associated with this story. Theft of stollen property by possession, and extortion. There must also be a couple crimes releated to stollen intelectual property.

I'm not sure a prosecutor really gives a crap about how iPhone sales went after the fact that several crimes were committed.

In my opinion the actions of those involved were corrupt to the core and people who work like that should be dealt with.

Sharing screens with TeamViewer for iPad and Mac {TUAW.com}

Sep 21st 2010 8:17PM I've been using TeamViewer for a few months nnow. It's amazing! It is, without a doubt, the best iPhone app you can get.

There are also downloads for USB drives so you can run it from computers at work without network admin rights.

I've set up my Mac at home to email me the newest login password (with a little help from Script Timer) for TeamViewer. So if I ever get caught out and about without a file I need or I need to adjust some home automation setting or something I can always login with TeamViewer.
