Apr 6th 2011 7:22PM I spent years working in residential, in school, and in work settings with violent DD populations. Had I, my staff, or co-workers resorted to pepper spraying them, we would have been arrested and faced a year in jail and a ten thousand dollar fine. To Tase, pepper spray, or likewise subdue a child is criminal. He's eight years old for chrissakes. I don't give a fig how "violent" he is. We were taught to de-escalate violent people with IQ's as low as 15 without physically restraining them. Why are the teachers and LEP not doing so with grade school kids?
The women who locked themselves in their office out of fear and the cops who overreacted seem poorly trained and unprofessional. The women come across as panic junkies and the cops come across as being bullies with a badge. This says nothing of the mother's inability to parent, which is readily apparent.

My Bad Day -- I Broke My Neck and Walked Away {Asylum}

Dec 2nd 2010 6:57PM I have C2-C3 C4-C6, as well as C7-T1 fused and the Neurologist did so through one three inch incision to the right side of and parallel with my larynx (which he accessed on two occassions). All I can say is you guys work miracles. I was in agony for almost two years before the final procedure(s).
I'm pain free. I'll never get the muscle back, my thumb and left hand are still partially paralyzed, and I have limited ROM.
That said, I'm in the game again. Who could ask for more? If you see this, Thank's Dr. Pingree!You are the best.

Dec 2nd 2010 6:48PM I have seven disks in my neck and shoulders fused due to a combination of trauma and a lifetime of being a human forklift. What I go through leading up to and following the surgery is incredibly painful but nothing compared to what this guy goes through. I am indeed grateful that I didn't have to take his path.
BTW, the opiate fog isn't half bad (LOL)
