Jul 31st 2009 7:06AM Let me REALLY tell you what teachers are all about in the public school system. They are just there because its an easy job. Most of the ones I had growing up didnt give a who ha about education. It was just a state job.

I cannot for the life of me imagine any of them going to someplace educational like Henry Ford Museum or the Smithstonian and actually enjoying themselves. Why? Because it was TOO EDUCATIONAL.....

My college professors on the other hand are a different story. They would love places like that and have travelled internationally. But my high school teachers paled in comparrison.

They were into some pretty petty BS. They were and still are authorities on how to sit up straight and stop chewing gum.

After 4 years of that. I can honestly say, I didnt learn anything from them except how to sit up straight, stop chewing gum and to not run in the halls.

Worthless standards to live by and in the grand scheme of things with this economy... most insignificant.

They were nothing more than a notch up from a garbage man, or a municipal worker.. just another tool of the state. But to call them the honorary title of "teacher" is going a bit too far in my case.

I learned and gained nothing from these people.

I don't even remember any of their names... except like.. two of them.

Jul 31st 2009 6:51AM teachers and staff are not legitimate human beings, they are lowly servants of the state and should not have civilian prviledges..... and deserve little respect at all times at any age. They should not be allowed into higher levels of communication... like computers, internet, ..... that sort of thing.

They love the break room, gossip and low pay. Let them stay with the things they know and love.

At this rate, this guy is going to be labled Time's man of the year. He hawked stuff, now he croaked, end of story. What is going to happen when the Sham Wow guy dies? Are you going to erect a bronze statue of him and give it to a battered womens shelter?

Get a grip you guys.
