First off,this is America and we are free citizens. We don't need to prove we NEED anything to exercise our Consitutionally recognized RIGHTS. All we need is the desire and the money.

Secondly,I know for a fact that some Bushmaster firearms (you don't even know what one is,do you? It's just a term you have heard.) are perfectly legal to hurt with in some states. You just have to use a 5 round magazine in it while hunting because of the game laws.

Thirdly,be VERY carful damning the neo-cons because those Marxist traitors are on YOUR side of this issue,Bubba. Bill Chrystal,for example was born into a Marxist family,and was a Marxist himself at one time.

As for the idiotic comments about "keyboard commandoes" and "join the army" goes,I did join the army,and was a career infantry NCO. Get somebody to explain to you what that is.

Me,too. I would walk right into my high school in 1964 carrying a 12 gauge double barrel shotgun and the shells,and lock them in my wall locker without anybody ever even taking a second glance. I used to go duck hunting before school started,and then again in the afternoon after school let out. I wasn't the only one doing this,either.

Ok,you were some kind of clerk at a rear base who never saw combat. I was in the army infantry in VN and kept several loaded weapons around me at all times. I could and did go into the arms room and walk out with a case of grenades by just asking for them.

"The Marines at that time were considered the world's most professional handlers of weapons."

Only be other Marines. Even then they obviously didn't trust you with a weapon.

I can't speak for others,but *I* was busy raising hell with the pretend patriots in the alleged Republcian Party,and resigning from my precinct captain post and changing my registration to "Independent".

Which made no real difference because so many former Republicans in this area changed their registrations or quit going to the meetings there was nobody left to organize.

Neither of the last two replies I made to some other poster were posted here,despite me clicking on the links. I didn't even get the "your comments have been posted page.

I'm tring to post an entirely new comment to see if this one goes through. It MIGHT just be they are restricting comments that agree with those already posted.

CNN has been caught several times trying to "cook" their own polls on gun control. One time they even took down a poll that showed people wanted LESS gun control "for technical reasons",and when it went back up again two days later,the "less gun control" button ws counted as a vote for more gun control. People started posting screen shots of the last page shown before it went down,so CNN finally just took the poll down completely and would never admit it was ever there.

Name ONE case in the entire history of the world where a government that banned the first type of weapon and left the others alone were content. ONE case.

No such example exists. It is the nature of governemnt to seek more control and power for themselves,and less power for the citizens. If I am wrong,name ONE government in the entire history of the world that proposed less power for themselves and more freedom for the citizens.

The Bill of Rights were written BECAUSE of these universal truths,and to prevent this from happening in Americas.

PLEASE note that the Bill of Rights does not tell US what we can do and can't do,they tell our political class what THEY can do and can't do. It puts restrictions on the GOVERNMENT and not the citizens,which is why the political class have been trying to detroy it one step at a time for decades now.

When you weaken even one article (gun rights,free speech rights,right to jury trial,etc,etc,etc-take your pick,you weaken all 10 of them.

Be VERY careful what you wish for because you just might get it and then have to live with it.

Nov 25th 2012 12:03PM I think these people were having fun pulling the tourists leg and seeing how much they could get him to believe.

Neither one of those 50-51 Pontiacs would sell for 35 grand even if you spent the 75 grand it would take to restore one. The most direct reason that guy is keeping those cars is because it pleases him for personal reasons to look at them. He has no real interest in restoring them himself because he would find them LESS intersting to look at if they were restored.

What many people fail to understand,especially those who live in a city and have wives that are "reachers" is that many people see these old "survivor cars" as an American art form. They collect them for the same reasons others collect Picasso prints.
