Hot Seat: Socialism Attacks {Politics Daily}
Oct 21st 2008 7:19PM nkwickman if the americans are not stupid, why'd the vote in Bush twice. Why have they been robbed for 8 years, why are they broke now, why do they let our government grant tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas... the repubs suck aand the people WERE stupid for listening to anything they promise. They are only now beginning to smarten up... when it becomes obvious or painful.

Oct 21st 2008 7:16PM Socializing medicine is like having a federal postal system. It doesn't hurt anybody. Socializing the banking industry the way the republicans have managed to do is very very dangerous and freightening. Universal healthcare helps all economic brackets. We currently spend the most on healthcare and are far from having the healthiest people... why? Disease from those who are not covered spreads to those who are! If everybody is healthy, the expense of healthcare goes down for all.

Oct 21st 2008 7:11PM Isn't it funny how McCain was mocking Obama for wanting more government regulations on corporate america and the banking industry as if that's a bad thing, then when the proverbial crap hit the fan, he hypocritically got on the Obama band wagon claiming he's in favor of better regulations. McCain is a text book POLITICIAN. Out of touch, out of ideas, and only seeks the office of president out of desperation as he's a career politician who can not do anything else. What has he accomplished in 30 years. Ironically, it's the McCain deregulation cry for less government regulations which led us to the biggest socialistic move in our history, the government owning our banks. Wake UP people! This is scarey stuff! Democrats are good for the economy!

Mar 7th 2008 2:01AM I find it amazing with the devaluation of the U.S. Dollar that we even still have 4 in the top 20. That's quite an impressive wealth considering the beating the dollar has taken. I guess that many of the world's richest outside the U.S. were also holding most of their wealth in U.S. dollars.
Does Wal-Mart really save families $2,500 each year? {BloggingStocks}
Nov 13th 2007 3:38PM Nobody, but nobody will read this far into this blog, but, I'll say it anyway. The American People have to wake up. The Ease of Use of Target, WalMart, and any other mega stores that sell you chinese made junk or even name brand products at a 5%-15% savings, should not justify the selling out of our economy. In Germany, they kicked out WalMart. People are smarter there. They are patriotic. They understand that the enemy doesn't wear a uniform and point a gun at you. They understand that the economy is the life blood of every man woman and child. And that the feeding frenzy you do at WalMart (or Target or any other business that puts out the small businessman), that you do to save a few pennies is really hurting you and your kind, more than you can imagine. The Rich, unpatriotic Walton Family, could care less about you. They make you think they are doing you a favor by charging you less than the mom and pop store. Yes it's true, they have the money and power to crush and kill their competition, your brother, sister, neighbor, the hard working joe, etc. And what they save by killing their competition with their powerful dollars, they can affort to save you a few pennies. You're really only enjoying the blood of their kills. They make money by eliminating competition. Do you feel better knowing that they are killing the economy, sucking all the money up to the top, and you are enjoying the miniscule momentary rewards for their greed and lack of compassion for the American Way. Teddy Roosevelt, the Founders and Framers of this great nation warned about the power of money being passed down. They worried it would make for american royalty. They wanted a country of people who were ambitious, fair, equal opportunities for all. NOT a system of Rich getting Richer and Poor getting Poorer. They didn't believe in wealth of this super elite magnitude. Said it would breed the fuedalistic society that we fought to throw out. Warren Buffet, who is mega rich, understands this. He is a patriotic American and should have Statues erected in his honor. But that's an entirely different subject. Anyway, this system that we are in is not Capitalism! It's Fuedalism. The elite kings and queens get richer and more powerful at the expense of the SERFS! They are so powerful they even control and make policy. They buy politics. They make the rules to cut their own taxes and to raise yours. You think you've saved $1200 to $2500 a year. Believe me, you'll pay it back in the taxes, and more so in becoming more and more poor. You see the price of houses? Oil? Electricity? Has your income gone up so much that these are not issues? Of course not! You're not saving anything. You're being bamboozled by people far more intelligent than you. You are trained to see the small picture. Meanwhile you are unknowingly selling your children and grandchildren into SLAVERY. Yeah, sounds a little out there. I agree. But believe me it's not. Think about this. An economy flourishes when everybody has expendible income. They purchase things from other people in the masses, not the elite rich who can't spend it because they have too much money. Then those who make the money spend it too, because they also would then have expendible income. The tax man makes money every time money changes hands. And that's where you get your infrastructure and services from. Now look at it the WalMart way. The filthy rich get your money... they are so few they can not possibly spend it, you don't spend as much, your business doesn't earn so much cuz nobody's spending, and when they do they are just locking that money away in the Walton family banks. No money flows... no economy grows... nobody pays the taxes from flowing cash, taxes have to go up, but the rich rule the government, so who do you think will pay? Thank you sharing this cup of coffee. and waking up with me! Go tell your friends before it's too late. And by the way, I'm not just talking about WalMart of the Walton Family. It's what's going on all over!

Nov 13th 2007 3:03PM AMERICAN SELL OUTS! I challenge anybody to find 10 WalMart items that were not made in China! I know when it comes down to it, China is so far away, who cares if they have no respect for democracy, human rights etc. Who cares if they kill babies for being born female and that their government looks the other way. You care about abortion? But you don't care that this country kills it's own BABIES? Who am I to judge you!?!?
Who cares if it is a fact that the Chinese economy is the fastest growing economy in the world. Who cares if all experts say China will absolutely have the strongest economy in the world in the next 10 -15 years, and because of that, they will be the number one world power. Who cares if the number one world power has proven for hundreds of years, that it hates the west, our ideals, our way of living and that it could care less about democracy and human rights? I do. AND YOU SHOULD TOO! Personally, I don't think saving a few bucks are worth selling out my way of living and living under the threat of communist chinese mentality.
American Soldiers now and in the past have laid down their lives to protect the system you currently are taking for granted and are unknowingly, until now, have been selling it out from under your children and grandchildren because some mega elite rich family found unpatriotic ways to shave a few sents off costs to make you think you're getting a bargain.
Is the end of the American Way a bargain?

Nov 13th 2007 2:16PM I'd like to add one comment about saving the people money. I think WalMart and all the other money vacuums actually hurts the average person in the wallet. Here's the BIG PICTURE: When the mega stores suck the mom and pop stores dry it actually hurts the economy. There are less and less people with disposable income in the economic machinery. And the mega rich do not spend half as much money as the masses. They hord cash. When there are less dollars flowing in the economy because the elite are hording them the economy shrinks. Also, when they do spend, they get huge tax breaks on their expenditures, thanks to the elitist government that created all the loopholes.
The way it works is everytime dollars change hands, the tax man gets paid. Those tax dollars go into infrastructure etc. They come back to you in lower taxes, roads, programs etc. Never the less, if all the dollars get sucked upwards to the super rich, someone has to pay for the slower flowing cash and the tax man getting less. That's where you come in. Government gets into debt and who do you think has to be taxed higher to pay it? You do!
The rich are looking out for the rich. The middle class and the poor should look out for their own as well and everybody will do better.

Nov 13th 2007 1:51PM I bought a Portable DVD player at WalMart and it had a rechargeable battery. My Wife and I plugged it in to recharge and went to sleep. About an hour later our place was filled with the smell of burning plastic. When we pulled out the plug, the plastic cover on the cheap made in china crap DVD player was melted. I'm certain had we not been in a light sleep that would have caught fire and possibly killed us. I will never buy the "cheap" made in china crap from WalMart again.
I Think Americans are really not saving half as much as they think. When you have to repurchase more crap to replace the crap you bought the first time around, you actually pay more. My motto is, if you can't afford good quality, save until you can, in the long run you'll save money by purchasing quality. It lasts longer, it works better, and you can even sell it again when/if you get tired of it, on EBAY.

Apr 14th 2007 2:28AM It wasn't a racial comment. It was in poor taste that's all! If Chris Rock said "bunch of bleach blond hos" about a prodominantly white team, everybody would chuckle... the end! Is this what the blacks want in this country! Double Standards? I have a lot of respect for the black community but I have to admit that it's diminishing everytime that Nappy Headed Scumbag Sharpton makes drives a bigger divide between the blacks and whites. He is not friend of the black community. He's a punk in a wanna be Don King hair du! Some Christian he turned out to be... To err is human to forgive is divine... turn the other cheek... Where's the apologies for Tawana Brawley, for the Duke boys??? Sharpton is a Faggot that hadn't stood on a soap box in a while so he grasped at the first straw he could. He's a manipulative opportunist. And I feel sorry for the girls from the Rutgers team, for having his fat shadow cast over them. And Don't write me any damned hate mail for calling him a Faggot! That's ok, you don't get fired for that, just ask Isaiah Washington. Oh wait! That's right he's Black, it's okay!
Bush Speech Reax {AOL Elections Blog}
Jan 11th 2007 1:28AM I am very sympathetic to Ms. Rosa Cerrato's earlier comment. I, too, like so many Americans sit on the horns of a dilemma: Support Bush and lose more lives, most likely in vain, but for an ever dimming flicker of hope that we might somehow win this war. Or withdraw, to prevent any further unnecessary losses, and be perceived as a seemingly weaker, devastated nation, who has failed.
There is no winning choice. So, I choose to support the most logical approach - a quick withdrawal. I can not see my patriotic American sons and daughters dying for something that can not be won.
President Bush's antics and manipulative humble routine does not fool me. He's run out of angles, and power so now, he must try a new spin. We must remember that he has never been humble or dignified. He has acted like a rogue leader, and quite arrogantly in his two terms. And now that he's lost so much power, he's going to play the emotional, humble card? I say enough of the Politics... People are dying! It's time to pull out! We've been manipulated enough by the Bush regime. It's far too late for the humble routine. I hope you will come to understand that wasting more lives will not change the outcome at this point.
The people of Iraq want us out. And this sentiment grows daily. By now, not only have we failed to support our troops, but we have failed to launch a more aggressive propaganda campaigns to rally support from the Iraqi people themselves. We should have invested more time to help change the hearts and minds of the people, in addition to sending bullets and troops. We also had the responsibility to gain their confidence -to help them believe in our so called plan, and that it could succeed. We failed there too. Now, the numbers of opposition are growing more quickly than we could ever train and deploy troops. I'm very sorry, but, if I had an ounce of faith that sending more troops would produce a different result, I would support the increase.
That's just no longer a reality. That window of opportunity has been closed. And I will not support the Republican pipe dream to have a victory that would get them back into office and control more quickly. Again, I say stop the politics! We are talking about human life! I will not support a man or party that haphazardly divided our nation, lost a war, sent my brother's and sister's to their death in vain, and only agitated and strengthened the resolve of our enemies to grow in opposition against us.
Too many lives have been lost because "fools rushed in" without a plan. We now absolutely must rebuild our military for preparedness so that we will not be weak. But not to be sent in and slaughtered in Iraq.
Do not worry what the world will think of us. We are Americans. We will always rise and crush any enemy that treads on us so long as we are righteous in doing so.
The Democrats, have inherited a mess. Don’t blame them for not having a plan. I’m not a party guy. I hate politics but let’s be fair. We can not blame the democrats for not having control over the republicans when you voted the republicans into power.
