Tesla lets us peek in on Model S development {Autoblog}

Mar 22nd 2011 10:41AM I take my hat off to Elon and his staff for having the courage to apply their skills as leaders in the efforts to replace fossil fuel as the main source of powering our automobiles. Solar, wind, water etc. electrical power has the ability to replenish the power automobiles use which eliminates emissions that vehicles are emitting today. Our own solar, wind and many other sources of electricity will also reduce our dependency on oil we don’t have. Cars built today have a fine line balancing between what’s best and what will sell. I believe that the engineers of the Tesla S electric car are bound by that same line. Public desire will always win that battle. I might also add that only a fool wouldn't want to own the beautiful electric powered Tesla S. This is a blank screen computer design from the ground up, factory production to make affordable, first run of full electric powered vehicles Tesla will offer. Will they improve over time? Don’t all car manufactures? They will be a much better vehicle than a conversion vehicle from gas to electric like other manufactures will offer. Electric cars have never had the public’s desire to drive until Tesla came along with its thrilling Roadster. That accomplishment further proves Tesla has cleared one more public hurdle in the sale of electric vehicles. I could go on forever but that’s because I'm convinced we have the leaders in place (Tesla) to change our dependency on oil. Get in line for your Tesla S or you will become one of the many negative people which could do it better people but haven’t applied any efforts to change anything except to voice their negative opinions about this this article. My advice is - if it’s all wrong, then do it yourself and improve on what many highly educated engineers have uniformly agreed upon for the Tesla S and change it in your own car. May 18th 2010 9:57AM I have drove a Tesla Roadster. It is the fastest car I have ever driven due to the responsiveness of the traction control. Its launch off the line without tire spin is as fast as you will ever safely drive(3.6 seconds 0-60mph). This technology, if started when gas engines where made the choice, would be beyond imagination and batteries wouldnt be an issue. I have preordered a Tesla S and the wait untill mid 2012 will be worth it. R Slag

Mar 18th 2010 4:30PM Who ever started this? I have to pay my employees out of gross profit and match taxes. What gives a restaurant the right to make customers pay their employees wages when it should be deducted from the restaurants gross profit? If the restaurants staff fails to deliver in any respect, its the waiter not the restaurant that pays in lost tip income. Don't shoot the messanger! WoW this is wrong

Oct 6th 2008 4:42PM He hasn't bid enough money for my vote. I can't really understand why he's holding back because the tax rebate for 95% of all American's isn't his money. Why not up the bid for the White House? He would get elected and not have to worry about the bad check he wrote until after he was president. $$$$$$$$$$$$$
