Nov 25th 2007 9:19AM AB realized that the domestic market was reducing profit margins, and acquired Chicago's Goose Island, Inbev's Euro portfolio, Stella, Bass, Hoegaarden, and Rolling Rock, whereby maybe if 1/4 to 1/3 of the daily route trucks sold these items, profitability would occur. Some markets are controlled by AB. Some by Miller/Coors. Watch out for PBR Co. to be around with Old Style, PBR, Colt 45, and Special Export to name a few items in their portfolio as a successful local player against AB & Miller.

Aug 26th 2007 8:02AM In Chicago we call it pop. In that state above us they call it soda and the WATER fountain in some areas is a bubbler. YUears ago when I first heard my cousin order a soda, I was looking for the tall glass with the ice cream and COKE!!!!!!!! In general you have to be specific as to order either regular, diet, diet caffeine, w/wo lemon or lime, and to maximize your choice, with or without ice! Cheers!! Felix

Aug 22nd 2007 10:25PM The glam days are in the movies and mamories of the Rat-Pack, Elvis, Liberace, and Don Rickles et al. We saw Kenny Rogers, Jimmy Buffet, and the late great Freddie Fender. I enjoyed putting on a sport jacket/tie for a change. My wife did not wear the 50's style evening gown, but wore a nice dress. At least for a while in town, you felt like someone. Was like the old Chez Paree in Chicago. To the previous poster, Warren Beatty invented Las Vegas!!!! Go Cubs!!What are the odds now???

Actually she keeps me company. Sammy always nestles by my wife when we are watching television. Let cats claim their territory.
