The Most Famous and Notorious Insane Asylums in History {Asylum}

Feb 17th 2010 3:28PM I'm suprised St. Elizabeth's in Washington,DC wasn't included. Among others, it housed John Hinkley, and the woman who attempted to assasinate Pres.Ford. A massive,foreboding structure at its peak in the early 60's, where shock therapy and wrapping patients in wet sheets were the norm for treating severe cases of schizophrenia.

Taylor Swift's Pad Will Have a Moat and Giant Birdcage. Seriously? {Just So You Know}

Jan 30th 2010 5:15PM Taylor deserves to decorate her condo any way she wants. She works hard for her money,and has been long before she started singing, as a songwriter. All you people who are quick on criticizing don't look at what she's given up. Her privacy, for the most part,being able to say or do like other young people without every gossip magazine taking things out of context, etc. If you can't support her,then leave well enough alone. Kudo's to her mom and dad for uprooting from Pa to move to Tn to allow Taylor to chase her dream. Taylor is living proof that dreams CAN come true...so let her have hers. Even if it includes a moat and a birdcage.

Dean Cage: Wrongfully Convicted, Moving Forward {BV Black Spin}

Oct 28th 2009 8:35PM Years ago, the justice system was premised on the idea of 'innocent until proven guilty' times and the power of the government have changed that so now people are 'guilty till they prove their own innocence' especially if you are a person of color, or of limited financial means.

The Road to the Bridge to Nowhere {Politics Daily}

Sep 22nd 2008 8:53AM Okay,let me get this straight. The road is 3.2 miles long, and it's made of GRAVEL.Let's see, that figures out to be 7.8 MILLION DOLLARS per mile.And the road doesn't go ANYWHERE,and will be used for hunters and racers? Uhh...if that's not Pork Barrel spending,and misappropriation of Federal Funds,then I don't know what is. Did they have to import the gravel from the Sudan to get such a 'bargain' on it?
