Jul 29th 2008 7:06PM 0+0+0=0. This merger can't save what proved to be a mistaken concept. Subscription broadcast radio and yes Sat. radio is broadcast radio. Evidently the average radio radio listener isn't unsatisfied with the traditional radio, to the point, they are ready pay for an alternative. Perhaps if Sat. radio offered programming à la carte, it would attract more users. Of course that would mean Howard Sterns and other programming will live or die by the number of actual listeners they attract, a novel idea, huh? Failing trying à la carte or if à la carte is tried and fails, you can expect the Sat. providers experimenting with limited program sponsorship, AKA advertising. Sat. radio may be the 4/8 track of radio.

More than generous salaries for the CEO, BOD and other top management. The public stupidly still buys into what's good for GM is good for Americans, While the reality all this time has been what's good for Americans is good for GM AND America.

Mar 30th 2008 5:02PM Most likely the photos where submitted to the FCC by ASUS or someone they contracted to do so, as a part of the Part 15 certification process. There may be other interesting information at the FCC where these photos are found. using the FCC ID on a FRS radio I found the owners manual, schematic and photos of the interior at the FCC web pages. The FCC seems to be pretty loose about Part 15 certification, rely mostly on data provided by the manufacturer, not testing done by the FCC. Unless there is an interference problem the FCC pretty much stays in the background. Except for Riley Hollingsworth :) Though I understand he retired.
