Mortgage debt waived after bank can't find paperwork {WalletPop}
Oct 29th 2009 10:14AM I didn't see anywhere in the article that someone was trying to "get a free ride." What I saw was someone trying to keep from getting evicted.
I'm ignorant in this field so maybe someone with some knowledge can answer this question. Is it customary for a bankruptcy court to handle foreclosures? Hopefully this person is trying to restructure their finances so they can do the right thing and pay for what they signed a contract for.
'Haunted house' comes with a spooky surprise: It can catch on fire {WalletPop}
Oct 24th 2009 8:07AM I would think one could still use it with the little battery operated candles instead of a live flame. You'd get the same effect without the danger.
Breyers labeling mistake prompts ice cream recall {WalletPop}
Oct 24th 2009 7:54AM To those of you who are making fun and wise cracks, you can do it all you want, but to someone who has a severe food allergy it's not funny.
I would think a person would notice the difference in the labels, along with the ice cream itself (isn't Mint Chocolate Chip green with dark specks of chocolate, and Cookies and Cream white with dark chunks of cookies?). Having a diabetic in the family has me reading all the labels, not just one or two.

Sep 11th 2009 12:55AM I think there are a whole lot of people that need to lay off the fast food. I've never seen so much hate in my entire life!! And people think Al Qaida and the Taliban are bad.

What to do when the price at the register is wrong {WalletPop}
Dec 4th 2008 11:08PM I worked for Wal*Mart for almost 7 years starting in 1995, and it was the same here in Oklahoma. I was surprised to see this article, knowing it was their policy that long ago.
What's happening is that the home office is ordering the price changes, which the department managers are responsible for completing. Sometimes, because of the work load, the department manager has to delegate the task of placing the proper shelf labels in front of the items and it isn't being done in a timely manner (if at all). That's why, as a department manager, I took care of this task personally, because I had to deal with the angry people if I delegated the job to someone else and he/she didn't do it. Then, when it was all said and done, I had to answer to my supervisor for the whole mess.
WalMart Employee Trampled to Death; Crowd Keeps Shopping {Holidash News}
Nov 30th 2008 11:29PM I think they need to stop the Black Friday crap altogether. There wasn't one single item in that store worth someone's life. Shame on Wal-Mart and all the other stores that enable people to act like savages. Management knows ahead of time how people are going to behave, because this same thing has happened in past years.

For those who don't believe, I can only hope they remember that they have been warned by those who do believe, so they only have themselves to thank for whatever happens to them in the end.

Nov 14th 2008 8:57AM This is an honest question, Eventide (or anyone else who would know the answer), from someone who isn't very computer savvy...
How did you lose an Apple notebook to them? I've always heard tell that Apple computers didn't get viruses, etc. In fact, my husband and I were talking about it yesterday when he asked me if I wanted to get an Apple laptop instead of an HP or Dell.
TIA for your answer.
Dell found guilty of fraudulent advertising {BloggingStocks}
May 28th 2008 5:09PM I have two Dell desktop computers and my daughter and son-in-law have one laptop, two desktop computers, a printer, and a wide-screen television. None of us have ever had a complaint with Dell products, and we find their customer service to be top notch. We've never had a problem they couldn't or wouldn't address, and we've always been completely satisfied with their tech support. I've never had anyone from HP come to my home to replace a part the way Dell did.
