Nov 24th 2009 3:34AM Here's a thought nobody has brought up. I thought it was against the law to single out any one person or a group of people to require them to take a class or do anything that the other students didn't have to take or do.

This "requirement" is against the law because it is a discriminatory act because it's based on sex, race, religion, economic status or size of their bodies of 1 and only 1 group of people.


I can see a huge lawsuit against this school no matter if its privately funded or publicly funded. How many of those professors, deans and the administration fall over the BMI 30 range??

Look in the mirror and see your faults before you judge the faults of others...

Oct 1st 2009 1:30PM here's my response to this... WHEN are the people going to learn that everything has a health risk. When I was a kid our paint had lead in it and our toys had lead in it and I think for the most part we turned out find. We put growth hormones into our foods and wonder why kids are growing up so fast, We take all of the bad stuff out of foods and tell everyone exercise or you'll get fat and die.. hmmm I know athletes who have dropped dead and they were in perfect health.

This is all about personal responsibility.. It's time to "man" up and take the time to make things safe for our future.. Not just the US but the entire world. We all screwed this planet up to where it may never be able to recover. It doesn't matter who screwed it up first because now WE ALL live in it.

New diseases are being developed on a daily basis so nobody has to take responsibility for their own actions. They can blame some disease or condition and say.. "well.. it wasn't MY fault".

Time to pull our heads our of our asses people and see what the hell we are doing to each other... Because, if we don't, there won't be a future...

Listen people when i was 18 i weighed 702lbs. because of my own stupidity with food. but I played HS football at 680lbs and then 5 years later played semi pro football at 620 lbs. i currently weigh 400 lbs but i still work everyday. My cousins get SSI for being overweight. I refuse to. Im physically able to work ( even though I'm laid off currently)and i move around alot, I have NEVER used my size as a disability and never will. thats just how I am. but, to bash peoplefor being overweight is wrong because you dont know whats going on in thier lives to make that want to over eat. theres alot of factors in peoples minds that make them want to over eat. like the person who worked for 30 years, raised a family and now the weight caused healther problems you deserve to ask for help but to those people who dont even try.. GET UP and DO things for yourself. its nobodys fault but your own... stand up and take responsibility for your own actions people!!!
