McCain Asks Obama to Pardon Boxer Jack Johnson {BV on Sports}

Oct 27th 2009 5:54AM I think Obama should concentrate on the important issues of today. Just as most of the people posting here have said; John McCain could care less about the injustive done to Jack Johnson in the early 1900's.

There was ample opportunity to put this before the last president. Are we to believe that he just had the realization that what happened to Jack Johnson was wrong? I think Johnson should have been pardoned decades ago. Why is it now President Obama's responsibility? My hope is that President Obama will ignore their request: Not because Jack Johnson doesn't deserve the pardon, but because the request is just another tactic to get attention and nudge the president about his mixed heritage.

A Legacy to Some, Painful Reminders of Loss for One {Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone}

Oct 26th 2009 12:40PM It's news to some if not you. The article is not about the death of Eddie only. It's more about wanting a place to show people some personal things about Eddie. Cynicism seems to be in abundant supply on AOL. Could it be because AOL is free and all of those who cannot afford to pay for msn etc. are on AOL? Dummies come out of the woodwork on this network.

Galleon rivals look to profit as hedge fund sinks {Daily Finance}

Oct 20th 2009 11:09PM I'm amazed that people are still getting caught in the insider trading trap. You would think they would know better by now. I guess greed over rules common sense.

Woman Terminates Adoption Because She Can't Bond With The Child {ParentDish}

Oct 3rd 2009 7:56AM I think she should have given this adoption more thought before she did it. She jumped to the adoption because the baby was found along the road. This is much the same as a person seeing the little children in other countries and signing up to sponsor a child and not following through for the long haul.

She made a hasty decision and lived to regret it. I feel sorry for the little guy. Perhaps if she had left that adoption alone, someone else more capable could have adopted the child. She did the child a great injustice by taking him and giving him back.

I think it may have been that her children were jealous of the child and didn't want to accept him. And it could have been that she felt she had made a mistake by adopting a child of another race. She had to have gotten lots of stares when the family went shopping. I feel that she was not able to bear the scrutiny of outsiders. People can be very, very cruel in situations like this. The baby cannot be blamed for this. She has to take all of the responsibility for this failed adoption. What a shame.

Doctors and Nurses Suspended for Playing Facebook 'Lying Down Game' {Careers Articles}

Sep 10th 2009 11:55PM The hospital is serious business. There are many places they can go to releive stress. It's a good thing they put it on facebook or no one would have known about it.

Don't you work? Do you think your boss would like to know that you were playing around when you were supposed to be working?

Real estate can be deadly: British tycoon kills stubborn tenant {Daily Finance}

Sep 10th 2009 12:33PM Anyone stupid enough to click on a link showing Michelle in the nude deserves to be infected with a virus. Common sense should dictate that it's not true. Some people will fall for anything.

Real estate can be deadly: British tycoon kills stubborn tenant {Daily Finance}

Sep 10th 2009 12:18PM What subject are you on? This is about Thanos Papalexis, the business man who murdered his quiet and unassuming tenant. How do you get race out of this subject?

Toxic Chinese drywall turns U.S. homes into smelly cancer traps {Daily Finance}

Sep 10th 2009 12:04PM You're right, the US government is not going to ban any products coming from China. But what the consumers can do is try buying products manufactured in our own country or in countries that have better oversight. Granted it will be difficult to weed out the toxic merchandise from China because much of what is manufactured her and in other countries is manufactured with components imported from China.

It will be difficult, but we can still try to limit our intake of things made in China.

Laura Bush Praises President Obama, First Lady {Politics Daily}

Sep 8th 2009 1:17PM I doubt that you know what a Marxist is. You're just quoting what you heard in the media. Probably don't even know where the term Marxism came from. Just quoting what you heard.

Slave holders were actually Marxists in a weird sort of way. They constantly took and gave nothing back to those who did the labor. Who built this country? I'll tell you. The Slaves and Chinese and other Asians that were held in bondage by those in control. Who built the railroads in this country? Mostly Chinese immigrants and blacks. What were the whites doing while the less fortunate were laboring? They were resting and cracking the whips. Oh, what I wouldn't give for an accurate account of American History. It will never be told because it's too brutal, greedy and salacious to be known by the masses.

Laura Bush Praises President Obama, First Lady {Politics Daily}

Sep 8th 2009 1:03PM That is the dumbest statement I've ever heard. She didn't run the country!! She was the first lady, the wife of the president. And as far as people having to tell Michelle how beautiful she is... That's the fault of those who are constantly focusing on what she wears etc. Stop hating!! Get over it!! They are President and first lady duly elected to that position.

I liked Laura Bush also. She was a sweet and unassuming first lady. She's a teacher and knows the importance of children being encouraged to do their best and not make up excuses for not doing well. I applaud her for having the courage to speak her own mind and not follow the party dictate. She's a true stateswoman who is able to see beyond the politics and see the real intent of the president's speech. Shame on the people who made such a mockery of this. Everything the president does, he has an uphill battle. Pretty much like it has been for all of his king since slavery.
