Harry Reid Promises Filibuster Reform {Politics Daily}

Mar 20th 2010 3:26PM Sure Harry's got problems in Nevada. But the problem is the people in Nevada must be drinking the GOP coo-coo aid. There's no way in HELL the GOP should be trusted again. EVER!!!

Obama Prods GOP to Compromise on Health Care Reform {Politics Daily}

Feb 27th 2010 8:39PM It's obvious that the repugnican'ts don't want the American people to have healthcare. So democrats need to stop trying to get them to agree to anything and just do the peoples' business without them. Just like they ran home to their districts to claim credit for the stimulus funds, they'll do the same thing on health care. They're a bunch of idiotic hypocrites who don't understand anything but political expediency. If the dems continue to allow them to hold up the process, they will pay in the mid=term elections.

Michelle Obama's Anti-Obesity Campaign is OK, but What About Health Care? {Politics Daily}

Feb 27th 2010 11:30AM Do you really believe people are stupid. You're one of the people who want to breed hate and discontent for Michelle and Barack whereever you can. Since people tend to like Michelle, you say she should do something harder than obesity. First off, she isn't an elected official who must be involved with policy that affects the whole nation. She is the First Lady. She generally involves herself with charitable and family issues.
You only want to find a reason for the people to dislike her. You should be fired from your job.

Support for Obama and Democrats Slips Among 'Millennial' Generation {Politics Daily}

Feb 21st 2010 1:21PM The US president has always been recognized as the "leader of the free world." This isn't a term that describes Obama only, but all US presidents.
Maybe you need to get from under the rock a little and try to visualize the world without the US then you may be able to better understand how that term came into existence. China isn't a free form of government, neither is India (but they're trying). Russia definitely isn't a free form of government. Japan, the UK and Western Europe are all allies but none of them are world leaders in the sense that the US is. Eastern Europe is still suffering from years of the Soviet Bloc influence. And we don't even want to talk about the Middle East, do we.
So when our President is recognized as the "LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD" it is a fact for every US president not just President Obama.

Support for Obama and Democrats Slips Among 'Millennial' Generation {Politics Daily}

Feb 21st 2010 1:12PM I will agree that AOL seems to be just another conservative spin mill. So many people on this site are anti-Obama anything. I don't believe the poll is acurate. I don't believe Pew research can dictate how people will vote by trying to say the millennials are abandoning Obama.
What I will say is that the GOP needs to figure out how it plans to pay for the $1.3 trillion dollar deficit it left Obama. After they do that, then they can start discussions about who left what debt to their children.

Feb 20th 2010 6:24PM Well, actually much of the social problems that African Americans experience are based on the injustices of this society we call the United States. It was the United States that wrote into the Constitution that a black man counts as 3/5ths of a person. It was slavery, Jim Crow and state-sanctioned segregation that stigmatized(to say the least) many African Americans and caused them to believe that they were not equal to white people.
If you think that is past history and it has no impact upon our lives today, I'll ask you this, what is your great-grandfather's name. You may be able to tell me and maybe you can't. But the difference is this, you can go and research historical records to find out. Most African Americans my age (50) can't do that because there are little written records of our heritage. Sure the more affluent African Americans and those who may have been fortuanate enough to live in a place that allowed them to keep records, may have an easier time of it, but so many of us have had our heritage and lineages lost in history forever, And this is because of the laws that were in existence in those days. They are still having an adverse impact on our lives today. Look at what slavery did to the African American family. It ripped families apart without any consideration of the damage it was causing. Today, most African American families are single mother households in which the young men grow up to continue the cycle of leaving their family behind choosing some other lifestyle instead of the family-man lifestyle. But you sound like someone who is too self-absorbed to consider what others have experienced.

Feb 20th 2010 4:51PM Are you serious. You need to stop for a moment and take a deep breath. Every thing that you see isn't racist or race-baiting. Why look at these commercials as some tinge involving a social statement. They're not. I'll grant you they're targeted, but that doesn't mean much in my world. Especially, when I know that I speak ebonics in certain situations myself. I don't think there's anything wrong with using ebonics in a culture that so often forces conformity upon us. The African American community should be proud of the fact that our dialect has finally taken its rightful place in this wholely-owned and managed caucasian society. Again, take a deep breath and accept the fact that all African Americans have not yet "mastered" the white language.

Pennsylvania's Governor Race: The Headline is 'Undecided' {Politics Daily}

Feb 12th 2010 3:54PM Another "tax and spend" democrat. Why don't you so called fiscal conservatives try putting your money where your mouth is. Since you don't like taxes, keep your damn money and don't use our highways, schools, hospitals, stores, utilities and anything else our tax dollars pay for. Stop whining about $ .10/$100 extra you may pay in taxes. It's really ridiculous to think about it.

GOP Governor Hopefuls in Texas All Lead the Democrat, But Not By a Lot {Politics Daily}

Feb 12th 2010 3:48PM I think Texas has what was known in the 80's as a silent majority. The greates number of people in Texas are non-voter's. If the democratic candidate ever taps into their conscious Texas would go democratic and stay that way for a long time.
